Day 24: North End Brewing – Pacific Blonde (Helles, 4.5%)

Bright yellow with a slight hazy touch. Pleasant, floral noble hop aroma alternating back and forth with subtle maltiness that feels like lightly toasted bread. Fresh and subtle hop notes are dominant and lead you in, but what makes this beer outstanding is the understated bready, malty complexity that sits in the threshold of sweetness. Smooth and creamy, easy to drink and doesn't linger on the palate. Floral lager with just enough malt backbone to support the hops in an almost perfect balance to close out the Advent Calendar in style.

🎄 That’s a wrap! 24 days of incredible beers, expertly judged and savoured together. Which beer was your favourite? Share your thoughts and let’s toast to a festive season filled with great craft beer! 🍻 🤓

Rich dark red with bright ruby highlights. Hold the glass against the light and appreciate this amazing colour. Refreshing herbal hops meet fruity, sweet maltiness in the aroma, while the flavour balances hop bitterness with a malty backbone reminiscent of breadcrust and pannetone, with hints of dark fruit peel. If green was not your thing, this beautiful red hue is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Pale straw in colour and very opaque, this hazy pale ale delivers fresh green aromas like a walk in the bush after rain, balanced with fruity sweetness. Day 18: – Maverick (American Stout, 5.0%)

As dark as it gets, with persistent beige foam. Smoky aromas layered with dark chocolate and a surprising fruity undertone. The flavour mirrors the aroma with smoky charcoal, chocolate, fruity coffee, and plums, plus a welcome hoppy bitterness that finishes dry. Full-bodied and smooth — a well-balanced beer, where the grain bill, hops and yeast take turns surprising you with different aromas and degrees of complexity.

A punchy, hop-forward, new world IPA with a decent bitterness that will please old-school hopheads.

Day 16: Puhoi Beer – Nice Cold Pilsner (Bohemian Pilsner, 4.6%)

Clear with thick foam, this pilsner offers bready, sweet aromas with floral noble hop notes. The malty flavour carries cracker and white bread notes, balanced by a slight tartness and hop bitterness. High carbonation with small bubbles makes it clean and easy to drink, with a dry finish that showcases a near-perfect interplay of malt and hops.
