Hey Our Town Reno doesn't' Appointed Reno Councilmember Miguel Martinez live in Donner Springs?

Stan White, 74, his wife, and several of their neighbors are at a breaking point with low-flying, small noisy lesson planes, going back and forth over their homes, from as early as 6 A.M. to as late as 11 P.M., above their southeast Donner Springs neighborhood, near the Reno-Tahoe International Airp

Raising money, seems to be the only community involvement by Appointed City of Reno Government Councilmember Miguel Martinez.
We suggest you donate to a non-profit instead of this appointed candidate.

Remember redistricting, we all went and made public comment and the city council didn't listen. Don't you find it odd Devon Reese, Miguel Martinez and Kathleen Taylor for Reno remain in their residences. What were the odds of that ?
Business licenses will be the exact same exercise.

Today Ward 3 NAB Meeting.
We borrowed this post/graphic from Denise Myer for Washoe County Commission District 3 who has announced she is running for Ward 3 Reno City Council.
We question why these NAB meetings are at Reno City Hall and not more centered in Ward 3, you know like the Paradise Park Senior Activity Building. Oh, wait, there might be a reason, we've asked the City of Reno for an update, we'll le you know.

The City of Reno Government REALLY want you to like Miguel Martinez the Councilmember appointed by Mayor Hillary Schieve and Councilmember Devon Reese.
Here he is on Nevada First-Gen Network. We want to remind everyone of equal time after the candidates declare, hence the City of Reno is working vigorously to get name recognition for Martinez before March 2024.

Seems as if City of Reno Government will do any amount of marketing and public relations for Councilmember Miguel Martinez, who Mayor Hillary Schieve and Councilmember Devon Reese appointed to do their bidding. Find us one single time that Martinez has voted against something Schieve or Reese support.
Kathleen Taylor for Reno votes with the 'gruesome twosome' also but it is interesting that Schieve and Reese don't support Taylor to the level of Martinez. Why, Could it be Martinez's close ties to former Councilmember Oscar Delgado. Ask yourself.

The City of Reno’s Human Rights Commission is giving money to local nonprofits if they push for social justice.

We were asked to go silent because of the hearing yesterday where Wrightway Market was trying to appeal their privileged license to sell alcohol, but why was beer and wine being mentioned. This is a 2nd license denied by the City of Reno Government administrator in July 2023 to sell just beer and wine.
It would seem the city took away Wrightway's alcohol license in January 2023 and now are denying beer and wine. Is the City of Reno Council trying to put Wrightway out of business?
The landlord, Dr. John Iliescu, passed away a couple of days ago, will Wrightway be able to keep their lease or will the building be sold? Perhaps the use of the building will change but that would be a shame because Wrightway Market is in a food desert as was pointed out by Councilmember Meghan Ebert Ward 4 City of Reno and that causes one to wonder where could the people shopping at Wrightway find food if the market is no longer available, perhaps Kathleen Taylor for Reno could step up and answer that questions now that she is the councilmember for downtown Reno.
It was also interesting, at the city council meeting yesterday, PKWY Tavern, owned by Jonathan Fine from Las Vegas was granted his slot parlor and bar licensing from the City of Reno and this location inside the old Harrah's Casino is but a mere three blocks from Wrightway Market, and Councilmember Taylor is in full support.
Why has the City of Reno has decided to make an example out of Wrightway Market? That seems to be the question.

The Reno City Council on Wednesday upheld the alcohol sales ban at downtown's Wrightway Market.

We've been laying back and waiting for City of Reno Government to finish their redistricting. Now we've got 'Appointed' Councilmember Kathleen Taylor for Reno.
We will closely be watching her votes and what projects she supports. We've noticed on her social media page she has a 'posse' Naomi Duerr for Reno, Devon Reese, and Miguel Martinez they seem to be everywhere together. We think if you vote for Taylor you just sort of get Reese, no matter if you like it or not.
Candidates let us know you're running so we can contribute to your campaigns.

Reno Council Member’s Reese, Martinez and Taylor are fundraising. No other candidate (you know, their opponents) can basically announce until September 1, 2023 when the City of Reno Government Ward lines are approved.
How is this fair?
Shouldn't Kathleen Taylor for Reno, Devon Reese and Miguel Martinez have waited, you know, to keep it fair? Level playing field?
You're being taken advance of citizens of Reno.

Have you been watching this mess at the City of Sparks, Nevada Government ???
Heads-up City of Reno Government all it takes is a whistle-blower or two or three and this mess could be playing out for you.
Wonder what City Manager Doug Thornley is thinking now, maybe Councilmember Jenny Brekhus or Councilmember Meghan Ebert Ward 4 City of Reno could ask him since they appear to be the only two city councilmembers with a spine, who ever question Doug.
All Kathleen Taylor for Reno does is whisper to him during city council meeting, bad form Kathleen.

With no comment from Sparks Council members, they voted unanimously to reject the $600k buyout deal. No date has been set yet to consider termination.

We've been waiting for redistricting to take place at City of Reno Government because why post until we know who will be representing us on the city council. Unfortunately, it would appear we continue to have an 'Appointed' City Councilmember and not an elected.
It would seem from the August 23, 2023 Reno City Council meeting that City Manger Doug Thornley is going to try to allow Kathleen Taylor for Reno to be listed on the ballot as an 'incumbent.'
We will take issue with that and complain all the way up the chain to Washoe County, Nevada - Government Registrar of Voters Jamie Rodriguez and, if needed, next to the Nevada Secretary of State. Taylor is not an incumbent she is appointed by Mayor Hillary Schieve and Councilmember Devon Reese.
Enough is enough - our prior City Councilmember Miguel (I'm too chicken to have a Facebook campaign page) Martinez was appointed and now we're stuck with Taylor. We want an elected representative.

The Reno City Council on Wednesday voted in favor of proposed ward boundary changes to create a sixth ward, as required by state law.
