The new pumps have arrived on island, and we have added a high speed pump for commercial vehicles, who use Foxdale. This is only available at Foxdale and when filling Commercial vehicles with Diesel this will increase pump speed to 80 litres per Minute.
Some Q&A
❓Why only available at Foxdale?
🙋‍♂️Space is limited in the forecourt, and we have a high % of commercial customers using the forecourt, this will allow larger commercial vehicles to fill up more quickly and free pumps up more quickly for other customers.
❓Can cars use this?
🙋‍♂️ No as the pump rate will be too quick for standard vehicles and the pumps safety device will detect additional back pressure and stop the pump
❓why can’t petrol be high speed?
🙋‍♂️ Petrol is significantly more highly flammable than diesel and the additional friction of the petrol passing through at a higher speed, would potentially cause additional heat.
❓will I be able to fill up with a larger quantity of fuel?
🙋‍♂️pumps across the island are restricted to 100
Litre maximum dispenser, although for diesel this can be increased on one fill. The road side diesel pump at Foxdale will have a higher limit to allow commercial vehicles to fill more qu**ky and with a higher volume.
❓what will the normal pump speed be for petrol
And diesel
🙋‍♂️ standard flow rate will be 40 litres per minute

Bulk deliveries commenced again on Wednesday next week, if you need home heating oil before then, visit one of our retail sites.
EVF Brown Bobby and S&S Motors have home heating oil available on the pump. All other stores have emergency 20 litre drums.

Customer information.
Our next stage of investment in our retail stores will commence in January with the pump replacements ar EVF Todays Express Laxey, EVF Peveril Road Peel and EVF Todays Express Foxdale.
This has taken longer than planned, although we are pleased to be moving forward with this at the start of the year.
