Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The history of Mosques extends back to the founding of Islam. The Prophet (ﷺ) was involved in the construction of the first mosque in Medina. Additionally, Uthman ibn Affan, reported a well-known Hadith in which the Messenger of Allah (Peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 450

Allow me to take this precious opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone who has generously contributed to get us to this point. I also offer prayers for those who will be joining us in our endeavor to build Allah’s house. You can have confidence knowing that Allah is aware of your intentions, He sees you, and will abundantly reward you In Sha Allah.

I kindly ask that you join us in constructing the House of Allah at York Road, Waterloo. My brothers and sisters in Islam and in humanity, we are currently in need of your moral and/ur financial support as we work to finish the Mosque foundation. Allah reminds us in Suratu Saf 61-10:11 which says ‘O believers shall I guide you to a exchange that will save you from a painful punishment? It is to have faith in Allah and His Messenger and strive in the cause of Allah with your possessions and your lives.

Ya Allah, we ask that you grant our request just as you granted the prayers of Prophet Ibrahim (Alayi Salam) Rabbanaa taqabbal minnaa innaka Antas Samee’ul Aleem “Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing.”

KNOW YOUR DEEN CHARITY FOUNDATION LAUNCHED

The Know Your Deen Charity Foundation was launched over the weekend with the intention of bringing Muslim women together to propagate Islam by empowering them with Islamic education, arrange charitable events, public lectures, seminars, and outreach programs for the advancement and development of marginalized women and girls in the community, communicate with national and international Islamic organizations for the benefit of their members and society at large.

In her keynote address, Guest speaker, Madam Ramatu Wurie Bundu Kamara, stressed that in spite of the fact that Islam recognized women’s right to be educated and take a front push in Islamic propagation yet in many areas of life, women have been left behind. She thanked the Know Your Deen Charity Foundation for their exemplary work in not only propagating the religion but also embarking in humanitarian gesture to target vulnerable girls living in the streets and providing food for Muslims at the end of the month by visiting various Mosque during Friday Jumah Prayers.

Madam Bundu-Kamara revealed the intentions of the co-founder Mrs. Mariatu Tejan Wurie-Kamara to establish a Nursing School as her journey began with humble origins, and urges members to embrace and support the foundation’s mission of providing care for the less privileged women in society.

In her remarks, Mrs. Mariama Haladu Awalu, the founder of Know Your Deen Charity Foundation, highlighted the organization’s objective to extend its outreach to thousands of women; especially those living on the streets with messages of hope and the essential support require helping them get off the streets.
She stated that the foundation has been organizing Islamic classes for its members, as well as other women in communities with the aim of increasing their knowledge about Islam as they have women who has vast knowledge in Islam delivering lectures on various topics.

In her remarks, Mrs. Mariatu Tejan Wurie-Kamara, the co-founder expressed her unwavering commitment to advancing the foundation’s mission. She emphasized the importance of unity, love, and togetherness among its members, while also appealing to kind-hearted individuals and organizations to lend their support to the foundation’s endeavors.

She acknowledged that their planned projects cannot be accomplished single-handedly, underscoring the need for collective effort.

The program was climaxed with pledges and donation.
