OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE MORO ISLAMIC LIBERATION FRONT
ON THE SITUATION OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE.


Empathy, compassion, and justice. These virtues are what make us different from other living creatures in this world.

As part of Humanity, Palestine deserves to be treated humanely. The Palestinian people have suffered 75 years of persistent injustice, terror, oppression, and loss of lives and properties.

Amid the grave and escalating situation in the eastern Mediterranean region, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (M**F) decries the abhorrent and unnecessary cutting of vital resources in the Gaza Strip placing innocent Palestinians in a state of humanitarian disaster. To be clear, the M**F denounces any deliberate targeting and killing of women, children, elderly, and innocent people in general. However, the M**F considers as unjustified the indiscriminate attacks and use of excessive force as part of military response, even in the face of retaliation. Such is outrightly inhumane and a clear case of genocide.

The M**F calls on our brothers and sisters in the Arab countries as well as allies all over the world who possess the powers and resources, to extend help to Palestine.

We also call on the United Nations Security Council to once and for all sanction Israel for its heinous and repeated violations of international law and human rights. The United Nations agencies should exert all efforts to extend humanitarian aid to Palestine and end Israel’s ongoing military operations. Our collective duty is to prioritize the protection of civilians, uphold the principles of humanity, and work towards a world where we resolve conflicts without sacrificing the lives of those who bear no responsibility for the strife. Peace demands that we rise above violence, ensuring that the sanctity of human lives remains inviolable.

The M**F struggles for our people’s right to self-determination and continues to work for just and lasting peace in Mindanao. As such, we strongly condemn all forms of atrocities committed against the Palestinian people.

To our brothers and sisters in Palestine, know that we are one with you in this struggle. In the face of adversity, hope and resilience will guide you even in the darkest of nights. Your dreams for a peaceful and prosperous future are shared by many, including the Bangsamoro people. Stay strong. You are in our prayers.

In shaa Allah, Palestine will be Free.

The Parliament Bill No. 178, or “Ten-Minute Prayer (Salah) Break Act, was introduced by Parliament Members Suharto Esmael, Abdullah Hashim, Matarul Estino, and Eddie Alih.

PRESS RELEASE FROM BTA: Members of the Parliament Mohammad Kelie Antao, Mohagher Iqbal, and Atty. Lanang Ali, Jr., the principal authors of BTA Bill No. 160, proposed that the zakat and the ITR be jointly integrated or collected simultaneously.

Zakat is an obligation that every earning Muslim must fulfill by giving to charities 2.5 percent of his net income.

ĹOOK: FROM BANGSAMORO GOVERNMENT—Chief Minister Ahod "Al Haj Murad" Ebrahim received a courtesy visit from the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Business Council of Brunei Darussalam (BEBC-Brunei) headed by its Country Director, Haji Alimen bin Haji Jaafar, on Wednesday, 24 May 2023/4 Dhuʻl-Qiʻdah 1444 AH.
The visit was centered on future investments in the Bangsamoro region, particularly in halal poultry and agricultural products. The meeting also talked about the positive regional economic development in BARMM and the areas of cooperation.

With the BEBC-Brunei Darussalam Country Director were Haji Khairur Rijal Bin Haji Abu Salim of the Anggerek Emas Enterprise (commodity trading) - Osis Private Ltd Co. (Borneo Green Ranch), Haji Illias Bin Haji Matussin, head of the Agro-Industry Cluster, and Haji Nasir Latif of the Transasia Development Corporation, Timor-Leste.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Ministry Atty. Paisalin Tago,CPA of the Transportation and Communication Ministry, Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism Deputy Minister and Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority Executive Director Atty. Sukarno Abas, Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority Director-General Engr. Mohajirin Ali, Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism Director-General Rosslaini Alonto-Sinarimbo, and MAFAR Chief of Staff and Deputy Project Director Arphia Ebus, representing Minister Mohamad.

Alhamdulillah..Mubarak Bangsamoro parliament for passing the.Bangsamoro Electoral Code.

JUST IN: After a series of public consultations and deliberations, the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) approved on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 the Parliament Bill No. 29 or the Bangsamoro Electoral Code on third and final reading with 64 affirmative votes, 0 negative votes, and 0 abstentions.

The code intends to govern the elections for the Parliament of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) which shall be held in 2025 alongside the national elections.

Prior to the approval of the said code, the BTA Members held a series of public consultations in Manila, Cotabato City, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and in BARMM’s Special Geographic Area (SGA) with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Local Chief Executives, law experts, and other concerned stakeholders.

JUST IN: Senate OKs Marawi Compensation Act on third reading

With 23-0-0 votes, the Senate approved on the third reading Senate Bill No. 2420, which grants compensation for the loss or destruction of properties and lives as a result of 2017 Marawi siege, today, January 31, 2022.

The bill was prepared by the Committee on Finance; and the Senate Special Committee on Marawi City Rehabilitation with Zubiri, Dela Rosa, Tolentino, Go, Marcos, Hontiveros, and Angara as authors.
