January and February is fox mating season, and males foxes begin to roam the countryside (and urban spaces too) to find a mate. Often when they find a mate, they will mate for life 🧡

Their blood-curdling mating screeches have been long associated with Irish folklore and myths of the Banshee!

🦊 Why are foxes Important in our ecosystem? 🦊

🔸 As foxes move through their habitat, they disperse seeds of the fruits and vegetables they have eaten. This allows plants to spread out and survive.

🔸 Foxes are great hunters! They control small rodent populations, especially mice, rats & rabbits. Avoid leaving food out for your neighbourhood fox, as it could change their behaviours and make them dependent on human food sources

🦊 for keeping our foxes wild 🦊

🔸 Make sure your bins at home are secured, as foxes love to scavenge through rubbish for food. This can create a bit of a mess! If the bins at your local park or on the street are full, bring home your rubbish, and don’t let the rubbish overflow.

🔸 Take care when driving - foxes may be crossing!

🔸 Foxes are wild and like to keep their distance from humans. Always follow the rule of thumb and give them plenty of space.

Hi guys.. I've just moved into new house with a bigish garden. At the moment its a blank canvas, I'd like to make it a nice area to sit out in and enjoy with lots of flowers ect but have no idea where to start or how to do it. Obviously wont be getting it done for a couple of months but just want to start thinking about it now and decied what to do with it. Any ideas or recommendations for someone who could help, maybe someone with free time and loves gardening would be great. Unfortuanatly budget isn't huge so don't think I can afford landscaper. TIA Cloneygowan area .

Anyone local with kids in need of a 6ft Christmas tree ? My kids are grown and I've finished up with kids I mind until new year so don't really need it. Wouldn't like to see any one stuck esp for santa . These Lights and baubles not included but think I have some spare in shed.
