The orchards are in full bloom! I think apple blossoms are some of the prettiest little flowers. After pollination, these flowers become apples for our cider.

Today we made the first batch of mulled cider for the season. This warm spiced cider drink is a great way to get warm and cozy in these cold and rainy days. So easy to make, see our recipe below...

2 cans Costa Verde Sidra Moderna
2 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise
4 whole cloves
1/2 inch round slice of orange
2 slices of apple
2 shots of spiced rum

Add everything except the rum into a small pot and warm over low heat for 30 mins. Do not boil! Remove from heat, add rum and serve warm. Sweeten with honey if desired.
