The Balvenie 12 yrs old Doublewood has a Gristy, supple nuttiness intertwined with spices. Honeyed sultanas and grapes. Hugely inviting.

In addition,it also has Sweet with good body. The bourbon characters develop gentle spice with a little vanilla, a hint of balancing peat lurking quietly in the substrata. Dried fruit too, combining with nuts, nutmeg, cinnamon, back into the bourbon notes - so well integrated.

The finishing has a Spicy, slightly drying, still sweet taste.

Lastly, the overall has a classic, always a pleasure to revisit.

This is also a single malt with the ability to convert a non-whisky drinker with its deliciousness..

Monkey Shoulder has An elegant, stylish nose of marmalade, Crema Catalana (apologies, but it really is there), cocoa and malt. Plenty of vanilla and a sprinkling of winter spice (nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon) alongside a mouth-watering hint of aniseed.

Moreover, Very malty, creamy delivery with a suggestion of berry fruit. Juicy toasted barley, cloves and butterscotch. Manuka honey, hot-buttered-toast and dried apricot develop.

Last but not lease, it has a Medium length, spicy oak and a hint of peppermint on the tail.

Lastly, the overall According to the Monkey Shoulder website: "Some say it tastes just like riding ba****ck on the wild moors of Scotland with a flame haired maiden on Christmas morning. On the nose, Courvoisier Exclusif Cognac is a complex aroma that is bright and opulent. The aroma jumps out of the glass, offering up more than just an expected cognac aroma, but more herbal notes. You get a nice floral note with a nutty undertone, as if you’re sipping a fine cognac from glass container. It is a floral cognac.

Furthermore, it has rich, peppery and herbal, albeit balanced and creamy. The gentle smokiness on the back palate is a pleasant surprise, highlighting the cognac’s ability to be added to cocktails in addition to being sipped on its own.


Last but not lease, its Long and this is a cognac that is robust enough to be sipped on the rocks and layered in cocktails. It has a leafy note all the way through with a peppery and astringent finishing as well.

GlenMorangie The Quinta Ruban 14yrs old whiskey has a Rose’ Wine colour.

Furthermore,A wonderful nose with a lot of port wine sweetness and mint chocolate. Notes of spice, tangerine, sandalwood, and nutmeg come through as well. The nose is complex and balanced.

Thus,the mouthfeel is initially full bodied with a spice that coats the entire mouth. Mint chocolate flavors shine through, along with nutty and orange citrus notes. This whisky is velvety and incredibly smooth on the palate, making it difficult to not go back for more!

The finish is long, silky and complex. Mint chocolate and orange citrus notes from the palate carry through to the finish. The last flavors to linger are nutty port wine characteristics.

Thomas Daikin gin Manchester England at first sniff, the overwhelming scent is of citrus sherbet lemon and grapefruit. Then comes the spiciness of the cubeb, combined with earthy notes from the red cole.

Other then that, The first thing that hits you when drinking this gin straight is a strong punch of horseradish, followed by earthy and slightly peppery tones with a hint of bitter orange – giving a warming effect. The gin almost has a radishy taste (provided by the red cole), which is unusual but certainly not unpleasant!

Furthermore,When you drink with tonic On first sip, you can definitely taste the citrus notes from the orange and grapefruit coming through stronger with tonic. This is quickly succeeded by a strong punch of juniper, muddled with a hint of sweetness from the liquorice, before the spice from the horseradish and cubebs takes over. Although the sweetness of the liquorice comes through, there’s no doubt in my mind that this is a savoury gin – well suited to a classic red snapper (the gin version of a bloody mary) with a hungover brunch.

Lastly, if you serve with signature it will be Orange peel and fresh coriander.

I’m not a usually huge fan of the concept of signature serves but, I happened to have some oranges and coriander kicking about the house so decided I might as well give it a go. I’ve got to say it was delicious – really brought out the flavours in the gin and was overall a very rewarding gin drinking experience!

Scapegrace Dry Gin* Gold has rounded and nutty - the mixture of nutmeg spiciness and clove earthiness give it an almost coffee-esque feel! Fresh orange is in the mix too. Furthermore, Cassia and orris take centre stage, joined by lime, juniper and fennel in support. Lastly, A core of spicy coriander, Orris once again and angelica last for a floral finish.

Johnny Walker Blue Label appearance will be amber with bright gold notes around the periphery. Strong legs.

Furthermore, the nose will be Cola, bitter cocoa, cedar wood shavings, roasted coffee beans, brown sugar, almond milk, subtle leather and very light to***co smoke.

The palate will be Sweet, subtle, and appropriately luxurious. Wisps of peat smoke, hints of charred oak, rich vanilla cream, sweet chili pepper flake, bittersweet chocolate. Blue Label transitions into the finish like cotton candy melting in the mouth: almost imperceptible from mid-palate through the lingering notes of caramel, cocoa, peat, and cinnamon. The burn is almost non-existent, but very satisfyingly so. Nothing feels like it is muted or missing. Lastly, Cigar smoke arrives late in the finish.
