Auchentoshan means “corner of the field” in Gaelic. Auchentoshan and Hazelburn are the only triple-distilled Scotch whiskies. Other single malts are distilled just twice. The distillery may be in Glasgow, but the brand's water source is the Cochno Loch in the nearby Kilpatrick Hills. Sweet, creamy, and light, this is like the whisky equivalent of a big bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios in front of Saturday morning cartoons. I get a nice dose of vanilla and citrus, plus a bit of musky cracked malt and a burst of warm spice near the end. Zhang YaoDong 张耀栋

The Japanese whisky producer Suntory is the oldest and by far the largest in Japan. The single malt Yamazaki is the first malt ever produced and bottled in Japan it is the flagship of the group. The malt whisky has a full body with pleasant oak wood tones. The finish is pleasantly soft and complex. Yamazaki 12 years old single malt was released in 1984.
