After speaking to lots of customers who were really disappointed about not managing to buy tickets for The Big Swally, we've been having a think about what else we can do with the event. Although people have asked if we can increase the capacity from 600 as other events at the venue do up to 1000, for us that's a no. We don't want people to feel crammed in to the space and we felt that we pitched the crowd size at this years just about right.
So where does that leave us? Well, I most likely need my head examined for this, but we're going to add a Friday night on to next years Big Swally to give more people a chance to come and enjoy what the breweries attending have to offer. It's going to be a slightly shorter session and for a reduced crowd of 3-400 as a warm up to the main day, I suppose it's The Wee Swally!
We've had talks with all the breweries attending and everyone is willing to come to Dunfermline on both days, so you won't be missing anyone no matter which day you attend. I need to work out some things with the venue and other logistics of making the event bigger, but we should be able to put the tickets up for sale for the Friday night from early next month.
The Saturday obviously sold out in a week so definitely keep a close eye on our social media if you'd like to scoop a ticket when this batch goes on sale!
