We’re proud to share that Satya Ramanayake, Program Manager at Diversity and Solidarity Trust (DAST), recently represented DAST at EPIGS ’25 – the Electoral, Platform, and Information Integrity Summit of the Global South.
During the panel discussion on "The Depth of Online Gender-Based Violence (OGBV) and the Need for Better Tech Safeguards," Satya highlighted the alarming rise of OGBV faced by marginalized communities, and shared insights into DAST’s ongoing work in addressing these issues. She also spoke about the critical gaps in current tech platforms, policies, and legal frameworks that continue to leave vulnerable communities unprotected.
