Brandon Miller, a St. Louis native and John Burroughs graduate, qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics yesterday, placing third in the 800-meter race during the Olympic Trials in Oregon. Miller previously made a name for himself throughout Missouri as a state champion and a state record holder in the 800-meter event. MAN FOUND DEAD IN CAR ON WHITTIER STREET POLICE INVESTIGATING

ST. LOUIS, MO — Early Saturday morning, police found a man shot to death inside a vehicle in the 2900 block of Whittier Street, leaving our community grieving and demanding answers.

St. Louis Police responded to the scene around 8:45 a.m. They discovered a 65-year-old man inside a white Mazda sedan, tragically pronounced dead right there. This senseless loss of life has shaken the neighborhood.

The police's homicide division is now leading the investigation. If you know anything that could help, please call them directly at 314-444-5371. Let’s come together to find justice for this man and bring some peace to his family.

14-YEAR-OLD JENNINGS JR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT FATALLY STABBED TO DEATH IDENTIFIED

It's with our deepest regrets to inform the community that 14-year-old Justin Brooks has been identified as the teen fatally stabbed to death following an altercation💔. According to authorities the incident took place around 3:05 PM, in the 2400 block of Hord Avenue. School Resources Officers were immediately on the scene and provided medical treatment to Justin suffering from a life-threatening stab wound. Justin was transported to an area hospital but later died of his injuries.

At this time we would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of the victim. Please parents talk to your children violence isn’t the answer. He had success a bright future and absolutely loved basketball. To his parents, we have no words to describe how you must be feeling. Prayer warriors wrap your loving around them during this time🙏🏽
