In this new spot from BODEGA Director Adam Reid's ongoing campaign for Decision 2024, MSNBC wanted Steve Kornacki’s voice and authenticity front and center. “These are Steve’s words,” said Reid, “Before production, I sat with Steve for a recorded interview and we talked about what election nights feel like for him. Steve has a way with numbers AND words. The challenge for us, and joy, was capturing images that were just as honest and immersive as what he was saying.” The resulting spot titled “Family Portrait” takes us inside the newsroom for this pivotal moment in American politics with Steve’s unique perspective and driven by a soulful Edit from Chris Carson at NORTHERN LIGHTS.

You’re invited to join us on Thursday, June 13th for an evening of and networking at the opening reception of “Stories of the People”, featuring work by master quilter Sylvia Hernandez! Sylvia creates timeless, handcrafted story quilts that address community and human rights issues.

“These quilts are created in my heart and soul before I make them visible. There are so many hateful, hurtful, and heartbreaking things happening in the world that I feel a need to make pieces that might show them in a beautiful, heartfelt way to take some of the ugliness away for a minute...I pray for a time that I might make only happy quilts.”

She has exhibited locally, nationally and international, has work included in the Smithsonian, and is the former president of the Quilters of Color of and the former co-president of the Brooklyn Quilters Guild.

The BODEGA and Northern Lights Family team is proud to share our continued collaboration with Trickle Up, an organization that helps women forge sustainable paths out of poverty.

Two recent films we created, directed by BODEGA's Mark Littman, premiered at Trickle Up's recent annual fundraising event and helped raise over 1.4 million dollars. Watch both films and learn more about Trickle Up on the link below!

Trickle Up hosted its annual fundraiser on April 29, 2024, celebrating the power of coaching in Trickle Up’s programs partnering with women forging pathways out of poverty, and in each speaker’s personal experience.
