Tonight I had my last moments in the empty store by myself before locking the door for the last time. It hurt immensely , but was liberating all at the same time. 416 Main Street has given me my life. It brought me from birth till now, almost 40 years. They say right before death your whole life flashes before your eyes. I’ve seen not only mine, but my fathers and grandfathers as I sifted through 76 years worth of memories the last few months. You can’t help but second guess everything in the end, but this is not my nor the Owl Shop’s death. It’s the end of a very long chapter in its rich history. As one chapter ends, another one begins. I’m very much looking forward to tomorrow, but am extremely thankful for the past.
