Tom’s Smoker Friendly located at 201 E. Madison, Derby, Ks is looking to add a great person to our team! OPEN INTERVIEWS ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 FROM 1PM TO 3PM!

Must be able to work at Tom’s Smoker Friendly #5 201 E. Madison(behind Walgreens) Derby, Ks
Starting Wage $10.00 per hour, raise after 90 day probation period.
Approximately 24 hours per week.
Must be able to work 2-8pm (including Saturday, Sundays 12-6pm and Holidays)

JOB CRITERIA (JOB SKILLS NEEDED)
Cash handling experience required

Self-motivated
Must be able to work 2pm to 8pm
Must be able to work weekends, and other days during the week
Must be able to work by yourself.

In a recent report, it was discovered that nearly three quarters of the British smokers avoid paying to***co taxes. Nearly half of these smokers are getting them from illicit sources. We've seen this same trend in US states that have a high to***co tax. The government wants too much money, and therefore gets nothing!

This is an Interesting read from Bloomberg. Cuban cigar makers fled communism with their brands & families in 1960. The Cuban government nationalized their factories, but the families took their brands elsewhere. This has resulted in two versions of many popular ci**rs, one made by the original families, and the other made by the Cuban government. Now that ties with The US & Cuba have resumed, the original family brands are preparing to potentially compete against the Cuban nationalized versions of their product.

The committee will work this bill tomorrow and is receiving lots of emails and phone calls in support of the bill (easy to do when you have 20k plus employees!) This is not a post to start a debate, if you don't support local liquor stores, PLEASE be respectful and don't comment on this thread. ANYONE that is willing to help, please take a second and call or email the committee members! You can leave a message with the secratary and tell them you don't support HB 2282-Big Box Liquor Bill, ask them to VOTE NO!

HELP WANTED-PART/TIME! Tom's Wine and Spirits 133 East 47th St. South (47th and Broadway(next to Burger King) 8 to 14 hours per week. Saturday nights 3 to 11pm, Sundays 12pm to 8pm and Holidays. Customer Service, Cash registar experience, not afraid to go stock beer cooler (must be able to lift 50lbs). Apply in person 9am to 11pm. No felonies, No phone calls please!

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE-
All Smoke Shops will be closing at 6pm on Christmas Eve with the exception of Tom's #1 located inside Tom's Wine and Spirits and they will close at 11pm.
