Gary & Patty Paschal are a husband/wife team who have always had a passion for art. Gary began working with different forms of art in the 1980's, primarily focusing on oil paintings and stoneware. Gary won several awards for his art, and one of his paintings is on display in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. In the 1990's, Gary & Patty acquired a pottery studio in Muncie, Indiana called the
Pottery Place from the late James Wishon and Jerry Harrell. They studied under Wishon Harrell for a brief time to carry on the techniques that they were known for. Our stoneware never comes from a mold. Each piece is unique and hand made, so no two items are exactly alike. Every piece of pottery is food safe and lead free. It is also safe for the oven, microwave and dishwasher. When properly cared for, our pottery will last for generations.

Wishon Harrell began their studio in Southern California in the 1970's before relocating to Muncie, Indiana in the 1980's. They are known for their quality, distinguished pieces which have become sought-after collectors items. Wishon Harrell were featured in several magazines over the decades and were even contracted by Neiman Marcus to produce stoneware for their stores. Paschal Pottery is proud to be part of the Wishon Harrell history. The Paschal's acquired the Pottery Place in Muncie Indiana in the mid 1990's from Wishon Harrell. Techniques were passed down to Gary & Patty Paschal, allowing them to continue the design and quality pieces that had become so well known by Wishon Harrell. We even hold the very last piece that Jim Wishon made - it is dated and signed with the full date...truly a one of a kind piece of history.
