The Toot'n Totum story began in 1950 when a young entrepreneurial couple, Eldon "Lefty" and Novie Mitchell, established their first convenience store at 15th and Washington. At its inception, customers would literally drive up, toot their horns, and the store's clerk would tote the orders outside to the cars. Today, Greg Mitchell, President of Toot'n Totum, still believes in the principles of service and convenience on which Toot'n Totum was built over 60 years ago. The Toot’n Totum that exists today has expanded through new builds, design, innovation, and acquisitions to a company that includes 105 business units encompassing a three state area. For over seven decades it has strategically responded to the ever-changing demographics and consumer behavioral influences while maintaining its core beliefs of integrity, hard work, and above all, serving the thousands of Guests that enter its doors each day.
