Magpie was started in 2011 by four friends in a quiet alley in Seoul and along the way helped spark an explosion of craft beer. Repurposing an abandoned tangerine warehouse in 2016 they built a beautiful brewery on the north side of Jeju Island, surrounded by the cleanest air and water in the country. Craftsmanship, community and culture form their foundation.

Jeju Rice Lager | Crisp, with an added kick derived from Korean citrus fruits. Magpie uses two varieties of local oranges: the small tangerine “gyul,” and the larger sized “hallaobong” oranges. Both fruits are famous for their distinct flavors and aromas.

Countryfolk Saison | Features a blend of Korean mulberry and green plums which provides a complex fruitiness to complement the rustic Saison yeast character. An easy-drinking, thirst quenching beer with a uniquely Korean touch.

From our local friends and inspired by a traditional Québécois ‘warming drink’ - Ice Cider that’s been aged in MN barrels for about a year. It presents smooth and rich flavors of pecan and brown sugar while retaining the characteristic tartness that this region is known for. All wild yeast, no added sugar or additives of any kind, limited quantities. Best served chilled.

began with friends Pierre, a sommelier, and Stefan, a gin maker, who were captivated by the unique tastes and aromas of South Africa’s Cape Floral Kingdom and united by a desire to create non-alcoholic spirits and aperitifs that offered the depth of flavor they craved. Everything is small batch, craft distilled and made with sustainably sourced botanicals.

Blood Orange Aperitif | Your go-to non-alcoholic spirit, delivering the richness and complexity of a premium aperitif without the alcohol. Dominant blood orange infused with a captivating blend of natural botanicals, including African Wormwood and Cinchona Bark, this is a uniquely South African take on the classic Italian bitter. 

Epilogue X | A homage to the classic, mellowed American Bourbon Malt, this is a blend of peated, smoked and dark toasted malt that is meticulously married with a combination of distilled spice botanicals and South African Honeybush. Smith & Cross Jamaica Rum contains only Wedderburn and Plummer pot still distillates, famous for their notes of exotic fruits and spice. It is not chill filtered in order to retain its full flavor and is reminiscent of heavy 19th century Jamaican rums.

The mark of Smith & Cross traces its lineage to one of England’s oldest producers of sugar and spirits. Its history dates back to 1788 with a sugar refinery located at No. 203 Thames Street, by the London Docks. Over time, the firm and its partners became prominent handlers of Jamaica rum, with extensive underground cellars along the River Thames.

In the shop now, a new flavor from tea-driven NA producer and staff fave

Wen Shan Bao Zhong is a lightly oxidized, bright oolong produced in northern Taiwan. This ferment concentrates this unique medley and produces notes of orchid, honeysuckle and fresh marzipan, resulting in an approachable, if unclassifiable, delight. Pairs excellently with fresh oysters, sheep’s milk cheese, watercress sandwiches, or anything enjoyed for its fresh quality and brightness.
