Bodega Manuel Aragón is a historic bodega and family winery founded in 1795, firmly rooted in the traditional Sherry culture of Chiclana de la Frontera (an ancient, whitewashed village located in the Bay of Cádiz). Chiclana’s vineyards are the southernmost in Marco de Jerez, where much of the region belongs to Cádiz Bay Natural Park and Sancti Petri Marshes nature reserve. Chano Aragón, the current winery head and oenologist is a direct descendant of its founder Pedro Aragón Morales and is a fierce defender of the historical culture of the region and its quality, handcrafted wines

Amontillado El Neto | Palomino Fino. It is an exceptionally elegant and complex Amontillado with loads of umami.  “El Neto” is named for a long-time employee and wagon driver who used to transport the wines of Manuel Aragón from Chiclana to other towns before motor vehicles.

Fino Granero | Palomino Fino. This solera has been in continuous operation for over a hundred years, and the wine is aged biologically with an average of six to seven years under flor.

Gabernik 23 is a small, family-owned winery located in Štajerska, Slovenia. Janko Bogatič began working alongside his father in the family vineyards at the tender age of ten. Nearly 30 years later, Janko now tends to 9 hectares of vineyards nestled on the slopes around Ritoznoj, in the foothills of the Pohorje range. While he still sells some of his grapes to a local winemaker, Janko began bottling his own wines under the Gabernik 23 label in 2018, marking a new chapter in the family’s winemaking legacy.

Antonin Jamois from Domaine de L’Île Rouge
is originally from Paris and, after studying agronomy, moved to Madagascar for 10 years. He eventually moved to his father-in-law’s 6h property in Lugasson in l’Entre-Deux-Mers (Bordeaux) and learned how to make wine on the job. He farms the property organically and promotes permaculture to preserve soil fertility and promote biodiversity in the vines including the cultivating of ancient cereals and fruit trees. The rest of the property is woodland and a meadow for his horse.

Working in the town of Nahe, between the prestigious Rhine and Mosel valleys, fifth generation winemakers Pauline and Carl of have brought their vision of a non-interventionist winery to life with resounding success.

Pink Fizzy! A blend of Regent and St. Laurent (red) and Müller-Thurgau (white). With a beautiful ripe red fruit character from directly pressed reds, and some nice structure resulting from a short maceration of the destemmed Müller-Thurgau. Juicy and luscious.

Castello di Stefanago is a family-owned winery in Lombardy’s Oltrepo Pavese hills, dedicated to producing natural, organic wines for generations.

Campo Piano | Pinot Grigio. Soft pressing and few hours of contact with the skins. Fermentation and maturation in stainless steel vessels. Unfined and unfiltered.

Stüvenagh Sbarbatello | Pinot Nero. After crushing and destemming, the must remains in contact with the skins for a few days, while a minimal percentage of the berries undergo semi-carbonic maceration to accentuate the fruity aromas of the grapes. Unfined and unfiltered.

Mischianacche Rosso | Croatina, Barbera, Merlot and Uva Rara. After destemming and crashing, each must spend few days in contact with the skins. All musts are added to the same vessel where they ferment together. Fermentation and maturation on the lees in stainless steel vessels. Unfined and unfiltered.

Giacomo Rallo is the fourth generation of the Rallo family whose legacy began with his great-grandfather Francesco, who farmed and made wine in the Sicilian countryside. Today the Marchese delle Saline estate, which has two properties in the Mount Etna DOP, is farmed biodynamically, focuses on native grapes from their wine zones, and practices minimal intervention in the winemaking process.

Taissè Zibibbo | aromatic with a full-structured palate that has hints of sweet tree fruits, marmalade, and citrus, while keeping ringing acidity.

Taissè Frappato | a bright and fruity mouth feel that has balanced acidity, round and juicy red fruits, and a long persistent finish. a slightly darker style of Frappato.

About a 2-hour drive west of Alsace, the Côtes de Toul is a remote wine appellation in the Lorraine region that produced fashionable wines during the renaissance centuries. Camille Migot, who began making wine in 2012 but is the product of 13 generations of farmers, represents an ambitious younger generation, who are organically farming, doing everything by hand, and reverting to simple, time-honored methods in the cellar.

Equal parts Pinot Noir and Gamay, his Vin Gris is over-the-top juicy yet buttoned-up with a shivery acidity. Certified organic and made with natural yeasts, this is as lean and flavorful as it gets.
