Congratulations to Mike Casper, our very first Hometown Hero winner. Mike was nominated by Rhonda, store manager at the Winterville, Golden Pantry. Rhonda says “Mike is a regular customer who makes everyone’s day a little brighter when he stops in for his morning biscuit. As a local government employee, he works hard to keep county utilities working for his neighbors!”

Thanks to everyone for your submissions, there were so many great nominees! It’s so awesome to see so many great people doing good things in our community.

As a show of appreciation for his contributions to our community, Mike and his wife of 38 years,Linda, will heading to Atlanta to cheer on the DAWGS at the SEC Championship game!
