UPDATE: All AC stores are back open for normal business hours. Thank you for your patience.

A global technology outage is impacting businesses around the world. As a result, some of our stores have been impacted and are experiencing a temporary disruption in their ability to process sales. This is not a security incident or cyberattack. We have been advised, the issue has been identified and isolated, and a fix is being deployed.

Alaska Commercial Company partnered with the American Red Cross of Alaska to provide free smoke alarms and fire safety education to rural communities. The 2024 "Sound the Alarm" program, with financial support from AC, installed nearly 1,500 smoke alarms in areas such as Utqiagvik, Kotzebue, Nome, King Cove, and Galena, making 394 homes safer and reaching over 1,000 residents.

Alaska Commercial is proud to support rural Alaska by providing access to fresh groceries and general merchandise in the communities we serve.

Alaska Commercial is excited to announce that the new Bethel Motorsports store is now open! AC has acquired immediate ownership of Back Creek Marine and will reopen as Bethel Motorsports at 811 3rd Avenue, a location previously known as AC Sammy’s. Back Creek Marine has been an important, longstanding and locally run snowmachine and boat motor service, purchase, and repair shop for the Bethel community under previous business owners Dave McCormick and Dr. Pam Conrad.

“We are excited to have AC’s support and guidance with motorized sales and services in Bethel,” explained Dr. Pam Conrad. “Having partnered with them for the past 25 years, we know that the legacy that Back Creek Marine has created will remain intact and we can rest assured that our customers will be well taken care of going forward.”

Bethel Motorsports will uphold the Back Creek Marine legacy while expanding upon the current services and products to include full-service repairs on snow machines, four-wheelers, side by sides and boat motors. AC chartered a flight to Kwethluk early Thursday morning to donate 4,000 pounds of dry grocery items to local households. In response to empty store shelves at the Kwethluk Native Store last week, AC packaged up 180 food boxes that included shelf stable milk, canned vegetables and soups, rice, pancake mix, and Spam. Alaska Commercial distributed nearly 60 packages upon arrival and the remaining food boxes will be dispersed to the community throughout the upcoming week!
