Good afternoon!

It is with bittersweet emotions that we announce our final day of operation as Schroed’s Rocket Stop is today 4-27-2023. We want to thank every single one of you who supported us throughout the past 7 years. Our time has come to move on and we we ask that you welcome the new owners with open arms! Big things are coming and the spirit of the Rocket Stop and all that we have accomplished will be continued with the new owners! Once again, thank you so much for all of your support! It has been a pleasure to serve this community.

Good evening everyone!

Approximately 6-1/2 years ago we came across the opportunity to purchase the Rocket Stop. After some thought we made the leap to purchase the business. When we purchased the Rocket Stop, all three of our children were still going through school, and in the area.

When we first bought the business, we had one goal in mind : to make it better, and to make it last. Throughout our first few years of ownership, we invested heavily into growing the business and increasing what good ole downtown Edgington has to offer. Some of the key points of this investment was adding new flooring, new paint, new appliances, and a whole new atmosphere. In addition to the upgrades to the building we added a wide variety of frequent new products, the rocket fuel energy station, and a fantastic new pizza recipe.

We fought long and hard through the COVID-19 crisis and are blessed and very fortunate to say that we never closed our doors. We stayed open as we fully understood our role that we provided and still provide to the Rockridge Community. At the present day all three of our children are now grown and have started their careers. We have also welcomed two new grandsons to our family and they keep us busy!

With that being said we would like to announce that the Rocket Stop has been sold to a new owner! We will forever be grateful for the experience and friendships that were awarded to us through this endeavor. To every single one of you that has stopped in over the past 6-1/2 years and purchased a cup of coffee, slice of pizza, DELICIOUS CHEESE STICKS, or just to say hello … WE APPRECIATE YOU.

We consider all of you family!

The new owners will be announced at a later date. We are currently working through the process and do not have a set date yet.
