We’re hosting Ilias Anagnostaras of Becky Wasserman Imports. This is one of the more legendary portfolios we’ve worked over the years and includes names like Guiberteau, Domaine Lafon, Benjamin Leroux and so many more we all love! This is going to be pretty epic so mark your calendars!

A little about Becky herself:
Rebecca Wasserman-Hone was a pioneering figure in the wine world, whose influence extended far beyond the vineyards of Burgundy where she made her mark. Born in New York City in 1937, Wasserman-Hone moved to France in the 1960s and immersed herself in the world of wine. With an unyielding passion for Burgundy’s terroirs, she founded Le Serbet, a wine export company, in 1979, which played a critical role in introducing American consumers to the nuanced wines of the region. Her work was characterized by a deep respect for the growers and winemakers she represented, many of whom were small, family-owned estates. Wasserman-Hone’s ability to recognize and champion the unique qualities of each vineyard and vintner made her a beloved figure among wine professionals and enthusiasts alike.
Beyond her business acumen, Rebecca Wasserman-Hone was known for her generosity, warmth, and integrity. She built relationships based on trust and mutual respect, fostering a sense of community among winemakers, importers, and consumers. Her legacy is not only the wines she helped bring to international attention but also the values she embodied—honesty, humility, and an unwavering dedication to quality. Wasserman-Hone’s impact on the wine industry continues to be felt, as those she mentored carry forward her commitment to preserving and celebrating the distinct character of each wine and its origin. Her life and career serve as a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the profound connection between people and the land they cultivate.

Ad Astra is named for the Latin phrase Per Aspera Ad Astra, meaning “a rough road leads to the stars.” Nittardi is situated on an ancient estate that dates back to the 1100s and was even owned by Michaelangelo at one point. It's since been modernized and the vineyards replanted. Ad Astra's grapes grow just a stone's throw from the ocean. Available in magnum only!

One of our coolest wines of the year is back, the Vazisubani Kakhuri Mtsvane from the ancient wine region of Georgia! Amber wine is a signature style (similar to orange wine), aged in amphora to give it a stunning dark color. Kakhuri Mtsvane (pronounced Kah-koo-ree Mits-vah-nee) is a native grape to the region, known for its peachy, apricot-y flavors. It's also super sensitive to oxygen and has to be handled delicately, thus the particular aging practice.

'Tis the season for sweet treats! We've got in all kinds of goodies to keep our hearts warm during the oncoming cold months. From chocolate truffles to peppermint bark to hot cocoa mix and an assortment of Swedish fish, snacking has never tasted better 😋
Boulon is Back! During a 2016 trip to Beaujolais, Jason and the late, great Craig Baker stumbled upon Domaine J. Boulon. They were then and are now humble farmers, a husband and wife team who represent the 6th generation of winemakers at this address. They weren't even being imported into the US at that time! They make honest, shockingly terroir-driven wines that beg to be tasted side by side to highlight their nuances. Years ago, they purchased a dairy transport truck that was dented and had to be retired from operation. They repaired it and retrofitted it into a huge fermenter. Talk about upcycling! The prices here are a complete and total steal. The Cru wines are capable of aging but everything is delicious on release. These are our absolute top picks for Thanksgiving food pairing. Chardonnay/White Burgundy fans... do not miss the Beaujolais Blanc. It's a totally unique and relatively rare style of Chardonnay that is super palate-pleasing and what a bargain!
