It was a slow year due to C**n Creek being closed all summer for upgrades. As a result, we closed early for the winter But we will be back in the spring and eager to see everyone we missed this year! The fish cleaning station at C**n Creek has been removed. We hope this means they are putting in one of the new fish cleaning stations like at Lone Point.

Camp hosts moved into Lone Point this afternoon and per a park ranger, Lone Point will probably be open later this week!

Pizza oven is back up and running. Mmm Hunt Brothers pizza and wings! Call ahead and get yours, 217-756-3156. We take orders up until 30 minutes before closing time. We’re open Friday and Saturday 6am-8pm and Sunday 6am- 1pm.

We will open Friday, July 21! We have a new POS that we’re still figuring out so please be patient with us during checkout. We’re hoping the part for the pizza oven comes in today too!!

They paved the road and campsites on A leg - it looks great! They have continued the cleanup and it looks like they could be opening soon.

Now the not so good news - we will be closed until further notice as we continue to identify equipment that was impacted by the last storm. We need to replace our phones and POS system, and find out if the pizza oven can be fixed. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope to be up and running soon!!

Volunteers Needed!

There will be a work day to support the new Lake Shelbyville Archery Park on Saturday, July 15th. Volunteers are needed to set targets and posts for the new shooting stations. Please plan to meet at the Opossum Creek Recreation Area fishing pond at 9 AM.

We had a power outage last night and the food cooler tripped the circuit and we lost all of the food. The cash register computer was fried and we have no phone or internet.

Parade on the 4th in Sullivan and fireworks in Shelbyville!

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers of Lake Shelbyville is gearing up for the 4th of July. Fireworks will be launched at dusk from Ramp Point, located in Dam West Recreation Area.

AND don't miss out on vessel safety checks happening NOW at Dam West Boat Ramp completed by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. They will be in the area through Saturday, May 27th to check over your vessel and to make sure you are safe while on the water.
