Position Summary
We are looking for a new Cashier & Gas Station Attendant to join our Chevron Salem team! Cashier & Gas Station Attendant will be responsible for collecting payments from patrons frequenting a gas station. Accept payments for gas, food, medicine, ci******es, or alcohol and deliver change.
Essential Functions
Provide friendly service to customers
Operate cash register to enter a convenience store and gasoline purchases
Greet and assist customers
Assist with fuel dispensers
Account for all monies
Clean gas pumps and surrounding areas
Light janitorial duties, collect and dispose of trash, wash windows, clean and maintain equipment
Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Must be flexible to work various schedules such as weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Must have the ability to accurately handle money
Must have a strong attention to detail
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have excellent customer service skills
Must be capable of effectively communicating with customers and co-workers
Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
Must be able to do simple math such as counting, recording, addition, subtraction and multiplication
Minimum education level of high school graduate or GED equivalency
Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift
Regularly lift and or move up to 20 pounds
