Discover the excellence of 𝗛𝗼𝘆𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘆 ci**rs, a Cuban heritage cigar crafted in Honduras. Founded in 1865 by Don José Gener y Batet, this iconic brand's name means "the hole of Monterrey," highlighting the perfect to***co-growing land.

𝗛𝗼𝘆𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘆 ci**rs have an interesting history in Tampa, Florida. After the Cuban Revolution in 1959, Fernando Palicio, who owned the 𝗛𝗼𝘆𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘆 brand, left Cuba and moved to Florida. He sold his cigar lines, including 𝗛𝗼𝘆𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘆, to the Villazon family.

The Villazon family continued to produce 𝗛𝗼𝘆𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘆 ci**rs in their factory in Tampa, using Honduran to***co. This allowed the brand to maintain its presence in the American market despite the political changes in Cuba.

Production of 𝗛𝗼𝘆𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘆 ci**rs in Tampa, Florida, ended in 2009 when the Villazon factory closed, but they are still produced in Honduras by the General Cigar Company. The Tampa connection remains a significant part of the brand's history.
