Hello, we are the Frye family and our youngest child ( 26 ) , his name is Damon, but we all call him " DJ " . Dj's favorite thing to do for the past 20 + years is ride 4-wheelers on the trails. We have always been up at the ANF for most of Dj's life and myself ( Darin ) have grew up in these mountains during spring / summer. So when the opportunity came about to move here and own and operate this

store, we knew in our hearts that God led us to this. We have been blessed beyond anything we could ever imagine!!! Now DJ will have a quality life and get all the ATV therapy he needs and have a job and purpose. We are so grateful for this move. We are doing this so our son has a quality life and the vital therapy he needs everyday. We are very much looking forward to working with the community and forestry service to provide whatever we can to be a part of this amazing lifestyle. We opened April 2018 and will live on site year around. We cater to the ATV community. We literately owe our very lives to the LORD, NO words could ever ever possibly even begin to describe how grateful we are. UPDATE APRIL 2024, STORE WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, THANK YOU.

Good morning folks,
I hear of talk about a donation page or something like that. We cannot stress this enough, we don't want your money! We tried to obtain a loan and do things the correct American way, but it seems they want to help illegals more than us tax paying citizens . ( NOT a prejudice comment at all, we Love ALL life and equality ).
Small business is dead in this country! If I can raise the needed funds to get the parts for the rescue vehicle, I will fix it, I'll keep folks posted on this in May.
We will try to open next season.
We Love y'all and the kind words mean so much to us.

Hello everyone,
It is with a very sad heart to inform everybody that we have to skip another season here all together, very sad but it's reality. In addition to that unfortunately there will be NO trail rescue service this season at all. The rescue vehicle is in desperate need of major repairs and it is not in the budget unfortunately. We tried our best here for 8 years , we hope next season ( 2026 ) we will be able to open back up. We wanted y'all to know this information way ahead of time so you can make your summer schedule accordingly.
We are very sorry , we were not able to secure the finances to open up this year,, The 20k water well we put in last fall wiped us out for another year.
We tried folks , we really did.
I'm sure we will see ya on the trails over the summer!
Who knows what next year will bring.

East side D loop says hello..sure is different when the leaves are down. Gates are open for travel til Dec, ( anyone can do this with their car while gates are opened. Only fr roads & dual purpose roads, d loop is a dual purpose road ) so took a different journey today. Dj was all smiles!
Dj& I are ALWAYS very respectful to the hunters, we are quiet in the jeep and we usually are back home by 4 at the latest to be sure not to spoil anyone's hunt. Our typical day in the off season in the jeep only is from 10 am to 2 to 3 pm.

Highland sportsman shooting range memberships available 24hrs inside the ice cream stand , open end door by garage you will see them on table next to sink.
Also available pig roast raffle tickets in same location. Call if you need help and I'll come down. This is for the fall /winter season so it's convenient to get them.

The Marienville & Timberline ATV trails will open for Columbus Day weekend! Trails open at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, and close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 14. Valid 2024 Trail permits are required. Timberline Trailhead will open for camping on October 10.

As of today ( 10-9 ) we are no longer on Russell City water spring. !!!
Trails open Friday morning and then close Monday night.
Trail rescue service will be going all 4 days.
21 rescues total for the regular season.
Gates at timberline should be open Thursday afternoon.

Allegheny National Forest will close the ATV/OHM trails for the summer season at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

ATV/OHM trails will remain closed through the fall, with the following exceptions:

-The Tour De Forest Fall 2024, operated by the Marienville Volunteer Fire Department under a special use permit authorized by the Forest Service, will be on October 5 and 6, 2024. Only registered event participants may ride in the event and travel is only allowed on designated event routes. Preregister online at https://marienvillevfc.regfox.com/tour-de-forest-fall-2024

-The Marienville and Timberline trails will be open for Columbus Day weekend to allow riders an opportunity to enjoy the autumn foliage. Trails will open at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, and close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 14. The Timberline Trailhead will open Thursday, October 10 to accommodate visitors camping for the weekend. The Willow Creek, Rocky Gap, and Penoke Trails will remain closed.

Riding the ATV/OHM trails requires a permit. Permits are valid through the end of the calendar year. The 2024 ATV/OHM permit cost, mail-in forms, vendors, and directions for electronic submissions can be found under Recreation Passes and Permits on the forest website at https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/allegheny/passes-permits/recreation.

Trail conditions can be challenging, and riders are encouraged to consider their skill level when evaluating whether to use any motorized trail.

Forest Service staff will monitor ATV/OHM trail conditions for potential winter use. Weather conditions with sustained cold temperatures may allow the opening of some trails for winter riding. Winter use of the ATV/OHM trail system requires sustained cold temperatures that freeze the trail surface and push frost into the ground.

The Forest will post information on the Allegheny National Forest website and social media channels when ATV/OHM trail access changes. Please check conditions before riding.

ATTENTION RIDERS!
Please follow the rules here to ensure the future of this place.
I will tell you how serious this is.
The US Forest service is not playing nice at all.
We have been under a special use permit here for this trail system since 2008. Never not once a complaint or an infraction in all that time.
We were ticketed by US Forest law enforcement yesterday while on an FR road on our Approved route in writing from the USDA US Forest service, we know in the court of law the ticket is bogus for sure.
Just telling you all this so you know the seriousness of following the rules here, we followed the rules always and still got a ticket ! He refused to listen to anything I had to say and he induced a meltdown to Dj.
