Blackberry Margarita Smash Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup (150 grams) fresh blackberries
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup (60 ml) lime juice (freshly squeezed)
2 tablespoons triple sec
Ice cubes
Lime slices and additional blackberries for garnish
Salt or sugar for ri***ng the glasses
Instructions:

Muddle the Blackberries:
In a small bowl, muddle the blackberries with the sugar until the berries are broken down and the sugar is mostly dissolved.
Strain the Mixture:
Strain the blackberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
Mix the Cocktail:
To the pitcher, add lime juice, and triple sec. Stir well to combine.
Prepare the Glasses:
Prepare your serving glasses by running a lime slice around the rim and then dipping the rim into a plate of salt or sugar, depending on your preference.
Serve:
Fill the glasses with ice cubes and pour the blackberry margarita mixture over the ice. Garnish with lime slices and additional blackberries.
