The restaurant was originally built in the 1980’s by the Cook and the Atkinsons families, who still live in the small town of Pencil Bluff, AR. The store has remained opened, under several different owners, since its construction nearly 30 years ago. The store was painted yellow in the 2000’s for a minor face lift, and yes, it is yellow. A bright, hard to miss, yellow. Thus the name: The Yellow Store.
