Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on that fateful day. Among those heroes were 343 firefighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice, running toward danger to save others. Their bravery, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to service are forever etched in our hearts and will continue to inspire us as firefighters and as citizens.

In our community, the bond between first responders and the people we serve is strong, and today serves as a reminder of that unity. On 9/11, firefighters, paramedics, and law enforcement officers became symbols of courage for the entire nation. As we reflect on their heroism, we are reminded of the importance of standing together, looking out for one another, and serving with integrity.

Let us never forget the lessons learned from that day—resilience, compassion, and the power of community. We encourage everyone to take a moment to honor those who were lost and those who continue to protect us. Together, we can ensure their memory lives on, in every call we answer and every life we touch.
