π¨ Urgent Community Announcement: Friendship Days Needs Your Help! π¨
We hope this message finds you well. The 2023 Friendship Days festivities turned out better than expected because of the abundance of volunteer help we received. The extra hands were appreciated and made a noticeable difference in all aspects of the event. We're reaching out today, however, with a heartfelt plea and a pressing concern regarding the 2024 Friendship Days celebration. As it stands, this annual tradition is at risk of being canceled unless we come together and lend a helping hand.β
>> Why Is Friendship Days in Jeopardy?
Friendship Days has been a highlight of our community for years, bringing friends and family together in pride and celebration of our unique little town. However, due to a variety of challenges, including increased costs, volunteer shortages, and logistical issues, we find ourselves facing the difficult decision of canceling next year's event.
>> We Need Your Help!
But here's the good news: It's not too late to save our celebration! We firmly believe that with the power of our community, we can overcome these obstacles and continue the tradition that means so much to all of us.
>> How Can You Make a Difference?
1. Volunteer: We urgently need volunteers to help with planning, organizing, and running the event. Your time and expertise can make all the difference.
2. Donate: If you are in a position to do so, monetary donations are greatly appreciated to cover event costs and ensure its success.
3. Spread the Word: Share this message with your friends, family, and neighbors. The more people we can rally to our cause, the better.
>> Upcoming Meeting
Please mark your calendars for an important community meeting where we will discuss the future of our annual celebration:
- Date: September 24, 2023
- Time: 5:00 PM
- Location: Nicollet American Legion
Your presence and input are invaluable, and we encourage every member of our community to attend.
Together, we can ensure that Friendship Days continues to shine as a beacon of unity and joy in our community.
Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our community. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting and working together to save our annual celebration.
Sincerely,
The Nicollet Friendship Days Volunteer Committee
