1. Az. Ag. Cantine Tintero Elvio | 'Tintero Bianco,' Asti, Italy NV
A delightfully unique Piemontese blend. Dry & fruity with notes of pear, lemon & crisp minerality, all held together with a gentle effervescence. $15

2. Tamellini | 'Soave,' (100% Garganega), Veneto, Italy 2022
Great aromas of ripe pear, Green apple, chalk and citrus zest on the nose. Light to medium bodied but perfectly crisp on the palate with zippy citrus fruit, nice notes of orchard fruit & a subtle touch of almond. $20

Black cherry, violets, & earthy spice on the nose with fun fizziness, dark fruits, tea-like tannins, bright acidity & a touch of smoke on the palate. We are obsessed with this wine with pizza! $19

5. Petracavallo | 'Primitivo,' Puglia, Italy 2022
A gorgeous colored wine with deep purple and the dark fruit aromas jump from the glass. The palate is structured with firm tannins, but surprisingly fresh with ripe plum, blueberry & violet notes. $27

Fulvia Tombolini | ‘Fiora Bianco,’ Marche, Italy 2021: Aromas of fresh herbs, mango fruit & even a little whiff of Play-Doh. The silky mouthfeel is paired with a little touch of floral notes, mellow stone fruit and a low acidity. This is a soft, elegant, & pretty wine.

Valori | ‘Cerasuolo D’Abruzzo,’ Abruzzo, Italy 2021: Lively aromas of berry tart, fresh cut herbs & a touch of salty sea spray. Minimal, but pleasant tannic structure on the palate balances out the raspberry fruit & hint of tart juiciness with a lovely herbal note on the finish.

Azienda Agricola Petilia - Aglianico, Irpina, Campania, Italy 2017: A nose full of cherry and wild strawberry, with layers of volcanic iron, dried violet, and to***co. The palate is lively with present but balanced acidity, tart cherry, raspberry and grippy, grainy tannins. Bold and refreshing! A great cozy pizza night wine.

From S&V: We’ve been huge fans of the wine (and people!) from Intermission Cellars for years now. At S&V, we’ve always had a soft spot for live theater, so we were hooked when we met David and Kristin and heard their story. As Broadway performers and wine lovers, when the pandemic hit and Broadway shut down, they quickly pivoted to their love of winemaking. We weren’t at all surprised when their wine was phenomenal too! When David suggested an exclusive wine, we jumped at the opportunity to work with them. We’re so honored to have this Intermission Cellars Rosé, only available at Smith & Vine!

🇦🇹Claus Preisinger | ‘Rózsa Libre!,’ Neusiedlersee, Austria 2023: A light strawberry nose & perfectly pink color grab your attention. Think of it like tart gushers - so easy drinking and an explosion of cherry & raspberry in your mouth. Juicy, refreshing, delicious!

🇫🇷Manuel Girard | ‘Face Est,’ Beaujolais, France 2022: Partial skin-contact with lees aging in old barrels without being heavy! The nose has developed notes of white fruits such as peach, apple, pear. The palate is fresh, crystalline and mineral, with a touch of almonds and white flowers that carry from the nose as well.

Come try something new during this hot & humid weather! Tonight, 5-8 PM, with Casa Lotos Sotol! Sotol is a distilled spirit made from the Dasylirion plant, also known as the *desert spoon*, which is a succulent shrub that grows in the Chihuahua desert of Mexico and the southern United States. The name sotol comes from the Nahuatl word tzotolin, which means “palm with long and thin leaves”. The plant can take 15–25 years to mature and only yields one bottle of sotol per plant. 🇲🇽

Casa Lotos Sotol | ‘Sotol Blanco,’ Chihuahua, Mexico: Hand-harvested Dasylirion plant is cooked in a brick oven then fermented in native pine and double-distilled in copper stills for exceptional flavor and clarity. Marked by subtle notes of herbs and maple, with hints of pine, cucumber and green peppercorns on the nose. Lovers of mezcal and tequila, give this sotol a try!
