Parettis Liquor is one of the true remaining "bullet-proof" liquor stores. It sits in the shadow of New York City's largest public housing project, the Queensbridge Housing Project in Long Island City, Queens. Queensbridge is the original home of many famous "rappers" and "gangstas". The neighborhood is quickly becoming gentrified and is now home to many television series such as "Rescue Me" and

feature films. Recent movies filmed here were "Julie and Julia" and the soon to be released "Son of No One".
