Here's the quick. We sent our Blanton's "The Original Single Barrel" Bourbon and Eagle Rare Bourbon barrels to our friends at The Black Abbey Brewing Company.

Alisha did her magic with a Stout and a Quad. Then aged the beers in the barrels for almost a full year.

On December 14, we're having an invite-only event and we're making spots available for our Frugal Rewards Club members. Right now, 10 of them, plus each can bring a friend. That might grow. They'll be food trucks and music too!

It's going to be a fabulous week of store picks at Frugal!

We are excited to announce the release of our Wathen’s Barrel Proof Single Barrel. The Charles Medley Distillery, one of the last independent and family owned Kentucky bourbon brands, has been using the same mash bill for 8 generations, 77% corn, 10% rye, 13% malted barley. Charles and Sam Medley contract distill at an undisclosed distillery and oversee the entire process from start to finish.

During the total solar eclipse on April 8th, 2024, our friends at got together with Charles and Sam Medley to pick one barrel from ten of the best barrels from their inventory which would go on to be a special release called “Wathen’s Eclipse.”

Frugal was next to get to taste through the other 9 barrels and pick our favorite to bring to Nashville.

We have a limited number of final Collaborative Series release of 2024. Bardstown teamed up with to create this Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey finished in Blackberry Farm Brewery Oxheart Stout barrels.

A custom blend of 6 to 14-year-old bourbon finished in Oxheart Stout barrels for 17 months. Just 10 barrels were produced, made available exclusively in Tennessee and Kentucky.

A dark chocolate and honey nose with a long vanilla finish. 107 proof.
