The idea started in Spain some years ago. Brutal in Catalan translates to dope, as in dope wine, a term frequently used in the natural wine world. The wine has to involve low intervention winemaking, including no added sulfites. Though the idea of this wine and its unique bottle artwork (which pretty much remains the same each year, except for few minor changes depending on the winemaker) was initially created by a couple winemaker friends (now the Brutal Wine Corporation) as a way to create experimental wines, it quickly evolved into an open-sourced project that now involves some of the most sought after natural winemakers, each taking their turn at making a Brutal!!! wine. This means every year we get a completely different Brutal vintage! This 2022 vintage is an orange from Vega Aixala winery, located in Conca de Barbera, Catalonia region of Spain. They also have a red Brutal!!!, but this orange is a badass 🔥

.la ‘Free Your Mind’ Sparkling Rosé is made up of 86% Riesling & 14% Carignan. Carignan underwent 2 week
carbonic maceration while the Riesling was de-stemmed and fermented on skins for 9 days. Pressed Carignan was pumped over Riesling skins twice, on days 8 and 9 - the wine is saignée on day 10 - Saignée meaning “to bleed,” a term for a rosé-making method of “bleeding” off a portion of red wine juice and a byproduct of red winemaking, resulting in bold, darker, more flavorful rosé wines.

Pépin ‘Orange’ 2022 is 100% skin-contact Gewurztraminer 🍇 We recently had someone who does not like orange wine try this bottle and that is all they now drink. This is definitely one of the better expressions of Gewurz’ we’ve had, coming from Alsace 🇫🇷 . It’s organic, it’s biodynamic, it’s even vegan-friendly. No added sulfites and so very stable. We’ve tried all the wines they offer and all equally impressive.

This orange is beginner-friendly, bold for experts, with blissful biting hues like lemon, grapefruit, plus pear, apricot, apple, with a pinch of honey, stone, and minerals. A vino that reeks of burstingly ripe tangerines, sumptuous, syrupy fruits and zest! Must try.

90 DAYS OF SKIN-CONTACT 😳 on this Borgo Savaian ‘Aransat’ orange wine made of mostly Pinot Grigio & dash of Sauvignon Blanc from Fruily, Italy. Aransat is Friulian slang for orange.

Clay and limestone soils. Think honey, minerals, stone, fleshy apricot, apple, citrus notes. The extended skin-contact with the grapes gives us the beautiful amber color, bolder aromas, bolder taste notes, including the tannins/texture. Overall the finished wine is extremely structured yet so fun to drink!

On the nose, has a touch of lemon, quince flesh and white peach.
