Every year when August hits I get this uneasy feeling🥴 This is the time of year I usually disappear😶‍🌫️ From 2005-2009 right around August my family lost 3 family members each year, taking more than half the men from us 🥺 It took me so many years to heal and understand death. I had become numb and desensitized.
I’m happy now to be in the place I’m in. If not for God I would be broken, but I’m not just healed I’m new 😇 and
I ♥️ it here! Rest easy Rueben, Willie and Uncle Deese! Too many others to list, but surely all are missed! 🕊️

If you’ve never been arrested you don’t understand. If you’ve never been harassed by the police you don’t understand. If you never lost a family member at the hands of the police you don’t understand. If you never been a victim to this American judicial system you don’t understand!
Black women don’t fight black men on their feelings about this issue!
This looks like a Police Presidency to them and their feelings are validated!
We need to learn how to understand each other rather than bash each other! Let’s demand action from these candidates, not just freely give away our votes without an agenda!
If we don’t come together, again I say
Black America is in trouble!

Capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, my little American Princess was married 💍🎊🥹😭
Emotional is an understatement right now! Wished I could have been there but the second wedding is in Cape Town, South Africa in February 2025! The whole fam will be there!!!
My baby is so beautiful and don’t worry my love, your dad was with you!

For the past few years on International Women’s Day I always pick some phenomenal women to honor and give them their roses 🌹 but there’s always one woman who I forgot to give her
Her Props! ☝🏾
And that woman is ME! 🫶🏾
Now I’m not trying to be cocky but I have to give me my flowers so I don’t forget who I am. 💐
In the last few years I have gone through some stuff! From opening a business closing a business, starting a Podcast, becoming a Life/Health/Diet Coach, continuing my work as an entrepreneur, losing family members, losing everything I worked so hard for to rebounding and pushing forward as I always do!
It’s hard out here 😮‍💨 But I, like so many Black Women in America, Thrive in a society that puts every single obstacle in front of us to fail🥺 Sometimes you want to ball up in a corner and cry 😭 but that doesn’t fix your problems, we just roll up our sleeves and get to work! 💪🏽
We are Mothers, Providers, Cooks, Shoppers, Doctors/Nurses, Maids, Therapists, Chauffeurs, Teachers, and more! And sometimes it feels as though these titles go unnoticed. I know my tribe loves and appreciates me, but it is exhausting! 😓
I wish for Black Men and Black Women to start seeing the bigger picture and that we stop fighting amongst ourselves and start working together to build! 🔨 🪛 🏠
We Women really shouldn’t have to work as hard as we do! It takes away from properly raising our children and we stay in this vicious cycle!
Anyway if you read this far I thank you! 👏🏽
And for the rest of International Women’s Month say a nice word to a hard working woman who’s holding down her family alone!
She’s tired and worn out and a nice word will go a long way ♥️🥰😘
