The always elusive EH Taylor Single Barrel.

Vanilla mixes with cherry and other stone fruit to give a refreshing scent on the nose

The palate is extremely smooth at 100 proof with notes of sweet brown sugar mixing into burning leather

The finish lingers around for a bit and you’re left with a warm thin mouth feel

Solid pickup IF you can find for close to MSRP but who are we kidding…

In honor of St. Paddy’s Day, we had to break into some Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey.

Citrus and Mint mix with Green Apple on the nose to give a fresh start

The palate had a slight tang with notes of slight cinnamon transitioning to a smooth vanilla for the finish

It’s a great pour at a decent price point if you can get your hands on it

Made by the Jim Beam plant in Kentucky, brings the bang for the buck.

Nose (20%): Brown Sugar, Cinnamon Spice, Buttery Cornbread

Palate (50%): A Nutty Sweetness with a Short Smooth Finish
5/10

Value (20%): Purchased at $24, and sitting at 100 proof, Easy daily drinker
7/10

Availability (10%): Hit or Miss in most places
5/10

Overall Rating: 5.8/10

Conclusion: Sitting at slightly better than average, it’s a good bottle to have on hand when the friends come over. It’s nice to have around, just don’t pay more than $25 for it.

All great things must come to an end. That’s the case here with Wild Turkey Rare Breed.

🥃Nose: Floral, Caramel, Hint of Citrus
🥃Palate: Rye spice, Floral, Brown Sugar, and Vanilla

This was a fantastic pour to review with some amazing surprises. At 116.8 proof, this bottle brings the heat in more ways than 1!

Rye day Friday!

Tonight’s pour is brought to you by a distillery with a very cool story!

Lost Monarch, named after the largest Coastal Redwood tree by volume, is a blend of the distillery’s rye and bourbon whiskeys.

A well rounded blend with orange and rye spice on the nose, typical pepper and caramel on the palate, and ends with a light to medium brown sugar finish.

Nothing quite like a stout pour of Yellowstone Select!

Nose: Honey, Butter and Caramel

Palate: A Sweet Start with Vanilla, Brown Sugar and Toasted Oak. Medium Heavy Finish with a touch of Burnt Leather and Spice

Definitely a nice pour for the price!

Tonight’s pour is Blue Note UCUF store pick from Turtle Creek!

Nose: Heavy Brown Sugar and Vanilla

Palate: Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Vanilla. Finishes off with some real spice.

It has all the makings of a stellar value!
