In June of 1963, Tony Crapitto saw the need for a bar supply company to serve the city of Houston. With his first warehouse in the back of his garage in the East End, Tony began selling and delivering bar supplies from an old Frito-Lay truck.Within a year, Tony had moved to a real warehouse on Cullen Blvd. and added another employee and an additional truck. Gary Jones, his first employee, worked for Tony until called to service in Vietnam in 1967. When he returned in 1971, Gary rejoined Tony in a larger warehouse at 4900 Griggs Rd. Gary became a member of the family upon his marriage to Tony's daughter and eventually bought the business in 1976.Originally only serving icehouses and liquor stores, Tony's Bar Supply had expanded significantly when the Texas legislature began to issue permits for liquor by the drink. Gary incorporated the business and welcomed Norman Rund, also a Vietnam veteran and Tony's other son-in-law, into the business as a shareholder in 1977. As the business continued to grow, Gary and Norm moved Tony's Bar Supply to its present location at 5201 S. Wayside. With the addition of Gary's son Morgan to our professional and courteous sales staff, Tony's Bar Supply now spans five decades and three generations.During that time, our commitment to quality and customer service has never wavered. In 2015 Gary & Norm decided it was time to retire and sell the business. Hitesh Amin, being previously in wholesales businesses was offered to take over Tony’s Bar Supply and accepted with help of his son, Shivan Amin and wife Bhavna Amin. Shivan oversees day to day operations and Bhavna handles the purchasing. At that time, a sales team was brought in led by Boston Mansfield, who previously owned his own bar supply company, to boost sales and customer service. Along side the sales team, a full time service technician was also brought in to install, service, and repair bar guns and fountain machines.
