Each year at JWC, we are excited for National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. We hold a raffle with prizes for our drivers and give out awards to recognize the drivers who go the extra mile.

Today we would like to congratulate Patrick Aerts for winning the first 2 prizes in our driver raffle. Pat won a gift card bundle and a plush blanket.

We have one more award today, that is the Driver of the Year
Award which we have started this year in honor of our friend Milton Christensen. The criteria for the driver winning this award is for the driver running the most consistent high miles, scoring at the highest level of safety rating, and exemplifying the most positive attitude.

This year’s recipient embodies all these things and more. He has been with JWC since 2013 and he is on our Million Miler wall of fame. He runs top mileage consistently, being only a few hundred miles shy of having the most in the fleet. His safety rating was tied at 95 out of 100. He has a million stories and personally I look forward to a new one every week.

Another testament to his character is he was fortunate to win multiple prizes in the drawing this year and has opted
for us to re-raffle the CB radio out to everyone else.

Today's recognition award was again a very close one. The driver who received this award ran the most miles in the entire year and has made an excellent addition to our fleet making many long runs. The driver recognized for this acheivement is....

Yesterday's recognition award was for safety. Each driver has a safety score based on metrics taken from our ELD provider, this metric tracks speed, hard stops, hard acceleration and hard cornering. Three drivers were extremely close in these metrics but one driver has been very interested in how to continuously improve. With an excellent rating of 95 out of 100, this year's Safety Award goes to.... Pat Aerts! Congratulations Pat and Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
