Home Town General Store is a unique general store that nods to the early 1900’s with relics from the past to take you back to the good ole days.

We offer a full line of groceries, frozen food, dairy, sodas (even in glass bottles) beer and wine and kick ass pizzas and subs. Lots of Michigan made foods, local honey. Don’t forget your fresh baked cinnamon roll and doughnut.

With prices that are in check with other stores, it’s worth the drive…except those big box stores that don’t wait on you, We don’t get the discount like they do, and you don’t get personal service at those either, it’s self check out… okay enough of that….. we are a locally owned small business and love seeing our customers and cutting up with you.

Are you ready. We are home town cinnamon rolls, donuts, ready come and get them

Chocolate Depression Cake

Ingredients:
4 cups flour
3 cups granulated sugar
1 ¼ cup cocoa
3 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 cups tepid water
1 cup vegetable oil
2 tbsp vanilla
3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients.
Add wet ingredients, mix until smooth.
Add vinegar last, blend thoroughly.
Bake at 375°F for 1 hour.
