Car must be STOCK street type passenger car, station wagon, El Camino or Ranchero. NO commercial vehicles, convertibles or sports cars allowed. Minimum wheelbase of 108”
2. Car must be strictly STOCK with a complete steel body. No cutting on the body, no holes in hood. Hood may be hulled and must be in place at all times. All glass, molding, chrome and interior must be removed; including head lamp
s, tail lamps and park assemblies. Minimum of four (4) window bars in front of driver/passenger. Floor boards and trunk floors must be complete. Drain holes are allowed. Doors, trunks and hoods must be bolted, welded or pinned shut. F. Rear inner fenders must remain in car but may be cut for tire clearance max 16” from center of rear axle.
3. Weight
A. Minimum of 3400lbs with driver after race. Added weight must be bolted or welded to car and painted in driver’s compartment.
4. Suspension and Steering
A. All suspension must remain absolutely stock. No racing springs or shocks. Stock steering, quick steer and sweet pump are legal.
5. Bumpers
A. Front bumper must be stock or tubular bumper made of minimum 1.5” OD x .095 tubing, no wider than frame horns. Complete unaltered rear bumper, capped to rear quarter panels with up to ¼ x 6” wide plates, welded or bolted to rear quarter panels. No sharp edges.
6. Engine
A. Stock engine for the car’s make and model. Maximum of 362 cubic inches. Stock bore and stroke. No stroking and destroking. Crank and rods must be stock. Stock cast iron intake manifolds. No aftermarket, no high rise or marine intakes. Stock cast iron exhaust manifolds. All bolt holes must line up. No adapters. Must vacuum check at 17” at 1000 rpm at intake with track’s gauge. Stock cylinder heads only. No aluminum, no double humps, no bow tie. No porting, polishing, gasket matching or angle milling. Heads are limited to 194 intake and 150 exhaust valves. Flat top or dish pistons only. Flat top must have four equal valve relief. G. Hydraulic cam and lifters only. No racing cams. H. Stamped steel rockers only. I. Quadrajet carburetors only. No adapter plates. J. Oil pan may be stock or claimer type. Minimum of 1” sight hole required.
7. Transmission
A. 3 Speed OEM automatic transmission is allowed. Must have stock working torque converter, minimum of 11”. No direct drives. No standards. Transmission coolers are allowed but must in front of radiator. Driveshaft must be painted white. Must have steel loop within 6” of front of driveshaft.
8. Rear End
A. Stock rear end for the car’s make and model. May be welded or use mini spool. No limited slip, post track or Detroit lockers or full spool.
9. Roll Cage
A. Steel roll cage mandatory with a minimum of 1.5” OD x .095 wall thickness tubing required. Steel plate required in door bar area for both driver and passenger. Minimum of three door bars each side. Gasoline Only
10. Wheels and Tires
A. Steel wheels only 8” wide maximum. Minimum 1” lug nuts on all wheels. Oversized studs recommended. Asphalt pull offs only. No grooving. No beadlocks. No screwing tires to wheels.
11. Fuel Tank and Fuel
A. Fuel cell required and must have roll over flapper valve. Fuel cell must be mounted in trunk area. Gasoline only.
12. Radiator
A. Only one radiator is allowed. Must be centered in front of engine in a vertical position with no modifications.
13. Battery
A. Must be securely mounted in trunk area. 12 volt battery system only. Only one battery is allowed.
14. Safety Equipment
A. Racing type 5 point belts mandatory. All five points must be used. Window nets are required and must be up and in place at all times. Approved racing helmets only. SA00 and newer only. Both the driver and passenger must wear full fire retardants suit. Gloves and shoes are highly recommended. Rules may be amended at any time.
