Contract negotiations continued last week with the parties exchanging wage proposals. Although the two-day session got off to a slow start, CLUE negotiators are optimistic, believing the parties are positioned to make real progress during the next round of bargaining later this month.

CLUE and NJASAP are once again engaged in collective bargaining. Lightning-speed progress at the outset has now slowed as the parties have reached discussions regarding paid time off and compensation. CLUE negotiators were shocked yesterday morning when they received a concessionary proposal that would have reduced vacation time for long tenured employees. Negotiations are scheduled to continue in early October.

Congratulations CLUE! The six-member group unanimously approved its tentative collective bargaining agreement earlier this afternoon.

It's Done! CLUE and NJASAP reached a tentative agreement earlier this week. The CBA will now be submitted to the CLUE Membership for ratification and the NJASAP Executive Board for approval. Congratulations to both parties!

Quite unfortunately, CLUE/NJASAP negotiations have not gone as expected: During the last round of bargaining, a proposal was put forth that sought to deny select employees just cause rights. CLUE is finalizing a comprehensive overview of talks, which is scheduled to be released this weekend.

NEGOTIATIONS HAVE BEGUN: CLUE and NJASAP representatives convened the first official session of contract talks earlier today with CLUE President Troy Beynon and Brooke Scherer presenting the Coalition’s initial proposal for the Union’s consideration. The parties just returned to the table after a two-hour break.
