Happy's Spirits Lottery is here! We have too many items for just one lottery, so we have TWO! There is a Bourbon Lottery and an Allocated Spirits lottery, which features all the great Scotches, Tennessee Whiskies, Liqueurs, and Tequilas we have been able to get. As you can see, I have more selections than space on the shelf! You can sign up for both lotteries if you wish. Simply make your ranked choices, and our staff will help with the rest.

I know this is coming out later than usual. It's been a busy Monday, and only one person is responsible for making this happen. So if you need extra time message us privately. If enough folks need, I can run this an extra day for sign-ups. Also, if you see an error, message us. In an effort to get this out, spelling may not have been double-checked :)

Speaking of single barrel whiskey, check out Happy's current selection!

Oak & Eden Wheat and Spire: a wheated bourbon with a proprietary port-soaked French oak spire. Try saying that three times fast! This is a custom-made whiskey from start to finish. We selected the bourbon, the toast level of the spire, and the soaking of the spire. It's extremely good but not much is left!

Starlight Distillery Cigar Batch: NEW! You have likely seen the post on this one, but if not, this is an Amburana-finished Bourbon hand-selected by us in Indiana. Amburana imparts a lovely cinnamon/baking spice flavor, without any added ingredients.

Woodford Double Oak Distiller's Pick: this is a distillers pick and it's oh-so-good. Think the regular Double Oak just knocked up a few notches. Classic Woodford Double Oak brown sugar flavor, with more dark fruits and complexity.

Starlight Distillery Honey Barrel: we have posted about this before, but this unique bottle is aged as bourbon, then finished in ex-honey barrels. Starlight ages honey in bourbon barrels, then sells the honey. After that the honey bourbon barrels are used to age this whiskey! So you get a lovely honey flavor and aroma without so much sweetness.

Yellowstone Hand-Picked: another bourbon selected by Happy's. This expression is higher proof than the Yellowstone Limited seen regularly on the shelf. This one is also amped-up in flavor, with lots of black cherry, vanilla, oak, and a little baking spice.

Cedar Ridge Happy's Edition: the final whiskey in our lineup is our hand-picked Cedar Ridge bourbon. This barrel-proof beauty is big on vanilla, honey, and lots of oak flavor.

It’s here! The Cigar Batch Bourbon from Starlight Distillery is in our store!

This is another single barrel selection from our trip to Indiana. The bourbon is aged, then finished in Brazilian Amburana wood barrels, imparting unique flavors and a velvety texture. Amburana is known for giving whiskey a realistic cinnamon flavor. However, no flavoring was added!

Cigar blend whiskies tend to be higher proof with bright, bold flavors, which is what you need to stand up to a cigar. This delicious bourbon is barrel proof, and with the Amburana finish, a cigar is certainly not required! The unique cinnamon flavor starts the show, with notes of molasses, vanilla, dark fruit, and even a bit of oat crumble. Come try it for yourself!

There are no limits to purchase, but once it’s gone, it’s gone! This would be the perfect holiday gift for the whiskey connoisseurs in your life. But don’t forget to get one for yourself too. Only at Happy’s Wine & Spirits!

Happy's has been fortunate enough to receive allocations of both Hundred Acre 2021 and The Warrior from Fortunate Son, both from famed winemaker Jayson Woodbridge. These are first-timers in our luxury wine set, and we are so excited to feature them!

These wines are made to age, and represent some of the absolute finest Cabernet Sauvignon Napa has to offer. Who's ready for something new?

In August a couple of us took a trip to Starlight Distillery in Indiana. We got to tour their beautiful estate full of orchards, grain fields, ponds, and of course a distillery. On-premises there is a market area for their produce, an ice-cream/cheese shop, a cafe with a great Reuben, and a retail space for their vast selection of wines and distilled products. After being mesmerized by all they had to offer, we got to work choosing whiskey barrels!

Friday we received the first delivery of four; a honey barrel-finished Bourbon! This 5 1/2 year old estate-made tasty treat was aged in casks that first aged Bourbon, then honey, and then finished bourbon. The result is a smooth whiskey with the aromas and flavors of honey without the cloying sweetness you get from honey-flavored products.

It's sippable at the cask strength of 115.6pf, but an ice cube or a tiny splash of water opens it right up. Look for obvious honey notes, but there's some nice biscuit-y flavors, a little corn and honey sweetness, vanilla, oak, and more! You may purchase as much as you like but supplies are limited.
