MEET THE CANDIDATE TASTING SERIES!

Warm up with a selection of stand-out winter wines while getting to know some of our select board candidates! This will be a event series to spotlight multiple candidates and multiple wines!

Below we have a slew of tastings throughout January and February with different candidates running for Bennington's select board. Follow the RSVP links to see which wine's we'll be trying out and more information about the candidates.

A new wheel of the beloved Blue has arrived... and this wheel just so happened to be the random choice for a quality assurance check! When cheese is being aged, it's tested with a cheese tier tool, which takes a core sample to reveal the inner readiness of the wheel. Texture and flavor are two main characteristics being evaluated during this process. Cool, eh?

We all remember our first love, and when it comes to wine... Montepulciano was the first varietal to ever steal my heart. 🍷❤️ One of the most prestigious Italian red varietals, grown notably in Abruzzo and the Marche and Molise regions.
The Ciavolich Montepulciano D'Abruzzo has an earthy undertone with notes of crushed cherries, savory herbs, to***co, and white pepper.

White wine in the winter? Like white unicorns in the snow, you're not likely to spot them and most people don't even believe in them.
Let us introduce you to two lovely winter whites that very much exist and will keep you comfortable on a cold night... ❄
Forlorn Hope 'Queen of the Sierra White' - Primarily Chardonnay, Verdelho, and Muscat. Buttery and salty, but with notes of baked apples and spices, beeswax and lemon custard. Perfect with the root vegetables and squash you're having for dinner.
Folk Machine 'White Light' - Verdelho, Tocai Friulano, Vermentino, Albarino, Sauvignon Blanc. Earthy, elegant, and minerally with some salt and brine. This wine fits any season but will go especially well with your next snow-day pasta or casserole.

Dry January? Easy; there's chardonnay, pinot noir...
Oh, non-alcoholic? Sure, we have Grenache blanc, Fritz-Muller Trocken and Pinot Noir. All alcohol-free! All dry! All delicious!
We have plenty of seltzers and sodas too. 😉
