Hello friends,

Dave is going to be listing the two bedroom apartment above the cigar shop on Airbnb in the Spring. In the meantime, we're just letting our friends and insiders know it is available now, in case anyone has any friends or family coming to town who need a place to stay. (Or if you need a night away from them!! 😉)

Details:
The rate will be 75 per night. Any stay longer than 2 nights could be eligible for a reduced rate. From June through November there is live music on the back deck every other Saturday so therefore these nights may be at a premium. Of course, terms are negotiable, just discuss your situation with Dave.

Also, any cigar reps who are interested in renting it for multiple nights while doing your Pittsburgh rounds are eligible for reduced rates too. If you have your schedule planned out months ahead, please let us know in advance before this goes up on Airbnb.

Guests are eligible for cigar discounts in the shop below.

Things to note:

1. Located just 5 mins from route 70, 20 minutes from the Pennsylvania Turnpike (New Stanton exit), 15 minutes from the 43 Turnpike making access to Pittsburgh and Morgantown, WV convenient.
2. Near 3 walkable restaurants and within 15 minutes of dozens of others. Conveniently located within short driving distances to the Historic Village of Scenery Hill and The Century Inn, and the beautiful antique and craft shops located in Monongahela.
3. Fully-functioning kitchen
4. Newly renovated bathroom
5. This is a cigar-friendly apartment with an electronic humidor conveniently located within. That being said, it is located above a cigar shop, so it may not appeal to those who are bothered by or allergic to smoke.
6. We will consider small well-behaved dogs. So this may not appeal to those with pet allergies.
7. The second bedroom can only be accessed by walking through the master bedroom. So it's more of a "bonus room"
8. Some noise (shop conversations downstairs) may be heard from the shop between 11 am and 10 pm.
9. Includes one designated parking spot
10. Every other weekend between May and early November there will be live music events on the deck out back. The bands play from 6pm-10pm.
11. 50 mins to Pittsburgh and Morgantown WV, 25 minutes from Washington and Greensburg. Within a 20 mile radius of numerous wineries, distilleries and microbreweries.
Wi-fi and cable tv.
Perfect staycation location
(FYI due to weather the balcony is safe, but still unfinished)

This is Dave. Myself and Kerra, all of his many friends and the staff of Leaning House Fine Ci**rs would like to express our deepest sympathy to Carmen's wife of 51 years, Fran, his children, his many grandchildren and all who loved this big teddy bear of a man. After being a regular at Leaning House in Belle Vernon since the very beginning, Carmen ended up running a small cigar shop in Brownsville bearing the same name (Leaning House Brownsville). This shop was independently owned and operated by Carmen. I mention this for two reasons. 1. Because I have received quite a few calls today from people thinking Leaning House Fine Ci**rs in Belle Vernon had closed. It has NOT. The Brownsville location was Leaning House in name only. So I wanted to clear that up first. Secondly, I also wanted to explain why I was willing to let Carmen and Heidi before him use the brand name. It's because I would only let someone I trusted 100% use the brand name which I worked so long and so hard to build. I would only let someone who operated in this world with integrity and kindness use that name. That is just about the best thing I can say to describe our dear friend Carmen. His heart was bigger than that big bearded head of his. I hope you are smoking a stogie in heaven and smiling down on us tonight Carmen. Thanks for your friendship. You were a good man and a great friend and will be sorely missed by many.
