Woody Creek Distillers philosophy for every spirit it distills is as follows: To make a spirit of genuine integrity, true to its essence, and unique in its taste and character. Hand-picked, hand-crafted, hand-bottled, Woody Creek Distillers (WCD) has total control over every element of vodka production from farm to bottle. WCD grows its own potatoes at Scanlan Family Farm in Woody Creek, Colo. (a

s well as other farms in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley), specifically for vodka and gin production, and sources mountain spring water locally to produce its ultra-premium American spirits. Each small batch is made at its 10,000-square-foot, distillery in Basalt, Colorado using custom Carl stills. When life gives you potatoes....make vodka! We're raising a toast to this incredible vegetable on National Potato Day!

Potatoes give us french fries, chips, and vodka. It's like the other vegetables aren't even trying.

Woody Creek Distillers use 100% Rio Grande potatoes as our base material for our vodka. Some are estate-grown on our ranch in Woody Creek and the rest comes from our farm partner in Colorado’s San Luis Valley.

If you're on the fence about grain vodka vs. potato vodka, here are a few insights:

🥔 Potato Vodka is naturally gluten-free.
🥔 Raw materials are dried grains v. fresh vegetable
🥔 Potato Vodka is denser and creates more character on the palate.

Fun Fact: People commonly believe that Russian vodka is potato vodka. The truth is, that most Russian vodka is made from grains. This is because the ground is frozen most of the year, so farming potatoes isn't particularly easy!

We're thrilled to announce our Colorado High Rye earned 91 points with a gold medal at the 2024 Bartender Spirit Awards.

Medals were awarded to those spirits that met specific judging criteria including fixability, balance, versatility, taste, mouthfeel, and finish.

It's Tuesday. You deserve a cocktail for making it this far into the week. We bring you the Bees Knees III by National Brand Ambassador Sean Kenyon!

2 oz Woody Creek Gin
1/2 oz Ginger Liqueur
1/2 oz 1:1 Honey Syrup
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
6 Raspberries
1 Egg White

Add all ingredients to a shaker. Shake without ice to emulsify. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain to a coupe glass. Express lemon peel and discard. Garnish with fresh raspberries (and love).

Drink. Smile. Repeat.
