MAN SHOT AND KILLED FOR HIS GOLD CHAIN IN PRINCES TOWN

An co-owner of Phats International Clothing Store was shot in the chest by a bandit who robbed him of a gold chain he was wearing at the Princes Town store on Wednesday 3rd, August, 2022.

The victim was identified as 34-year-old Amin Singh of Arima. CCTV video footage showed the masked suspect pulling the chain from the victim’s next while pointing a gun at him.

As the victim lunged at the suspect, he was shot once in the left side of his chest and slumped to the ground. Officers of the Princes Town CID responded and took the injured man to the Princes Town District Health Facility for medical treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

Amin's brother was also killed in a similar fashion sometime prior.

THE MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF SHIVANA BRAZLON

Shivana Brazlon was a 20 year old Trinidadian woman who died while visiting her fiance in Guyana in 2018. The UWI student was killed when both soon to be wife and husband were crossing a busy roadway, her fiance was walking right behind her when she was struck by a vehicle.

Her death is suspicious because her fiance, Michael Yearwood, was allegedly bisexual and was in a clandestine sexual relationship with the male driver of the vehicle that killed her. Out of the hundreds of vehicles driving on that busy street, the one being driven by the fiance's male lover (whom he called his best friend) just happened to hit her- and supposedly nobody except the driver and the fiance saw what happened.

Micheal called the relatives of Shivana and told them that she was dead and had also already made funeral arrangements for Shivana, this was just a few hours after her death. Shivana was a devout muslim, this is the reason micheal claimed for the quick funeral as muslims are traditionaly buried the same daybof their death.

Michael Yearwood was cleared of any charges after a police investigation, but many felt that he had pushed her in front of the car after arranging the murder with his male lover.

In response to the suspicion of her son being involved in Shivana's death, the fiances mother came out with a statement calling Shivana's family gutter trash in it. She mentioned how they can't help that they're rich, etc. She didn't really address the exact events of how Shivana died.

Michael Yearwood has moved on and married a different woman 2 years after Shivana's death.

What was also strange is that Shivana texted her mother on whatsapp this message prior to her death.

“leave for Guyana today mom. I got a dream that was very powerful. In the dream, I was basically warned that I was going to die.”

MOTHER OVERDOSES DAUGHTER AND HERSELF IN ATTEMPTED SU***DE

Police are investigating an incident where a woman and her six-year-old-daughter were hospitalized after an alleged su***de attempt in San Fernando.

The woman is suspected to have given her child sleeping pills then overdosed herself, police said.

A police report said that on Saturday morning, the man found his estranged wife and child in an unresponsive state in their home.

He alerted the Emergency Health Services and paramedics conveyed the mother and daughter to the San Fernando General Hospital.

The man told police that his estranged wife had spoken of su***de.

Officers of the San Fernando Police Station visited the scene, and spoke with the medical doctor at SFGH who said that both victims ingested an unknown quantity of a prescription sleeping medication.

Both victims were reportedly in a stable condition.

“Point Fortin man drowns while saving girl, 11”

GOOD Samaritan Otis Morrison drowned after rescuing an 11-year old from a mishap at sea on Emancipation Day.

Reports said the Point Fortin father was at Guapo Beach, (formerly Clifton Hill Beach) on Monday when the girl fell off a jet ski and called out for help.

Without hesitation, Morrison, 30 of Salick Trace, Gonzales, Guapo, rushed to save the child. She was rescued.

But while saving her, Morrison reportedly got into difficulties. Other swimmers pulled him out of the water and tried to resuscitate him, but he was unresponsive.

Morrison was taken to the nearby Point Fortin Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Investigations are taking place.

Couple shot, husband dies in Enterprise shooting.

29-year-old Dwayne Robinson and his wife 41-year-old Allison Vialva-Robinson were shot while sitting outside their Goodwill Road, Enterprise Chaguanas home around 8:45pm on Monday 25th July, 2022.

A Nissan AD wagon pulled up and the occupants opened fire on the victims.

They were conveyed to the Chaguanas District Health Facility where Dwayne was declared dead. Allison was treated for a gunshot injury to her right buttocks.

This is the second homicide within the Enterprise community within less than 24 hours. Last night, 18-year-old Shirod Richard's was gunned down outside a shop at Tobago Road Ext. Enterprise Chaguanas.

Eight Police Officers Remanded into Custody After Appearing in Court Charged with Murder

A Sergeant and Corporal of Police were among eight officers remanded into custody, after they appeared virtually before a Port of Spain Magistrate today, each charged with murder, arising from a fatal police-involved shooting incident, which occurred in June 2020, in the Morvant district.

No. 14780 Sgt. JOSEPH SOLOMON, 44, with 22 years’ service,
No. 12336 Cpl CHARLES BUDRI, 55, with 34 years’ service,
No. 17698 PC SHERWIN BAPTISTE, 41, with 19 years’ service,
No. 17998 PC COLIN FURLONGE, 39, with 13 years’ service,
No. 19283 PC VAUGHN ST. CYR, 39, with 11 years’ service,
No. 8685 PC JAMEEL MOHAMMED, 42, with 9 years’ service,
No. 16638 PC SEAN LORD, 42, with 19 years’ service and
No. 17752 PC MARK LEWIS, 41, with 13 years’ service
were each charged with three counts of murder, when they appeared before Senior Magistrate Brian Dabideen, in the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court, on Tuesday 19th July, 2022.

The accused were all remanded into custody and the matter adjourned to August 16th, 2022.

On Saturday 27th June, 2020, a party of officers from the Guard and Emergency Branch and the Inter-Agency Task Force, were on an exercise at 2nd Caledonia Road, Morvant, when they stopped a gold coloured Tiida motor vehicle with three male occupants; Joel Jacob, 38, Israel Clinton, 27 and Noel Diamond, 46, all of Morvant.

The officers alleged that during the incident, one of the occupants of the vehicle pointed a firearm at them causing them to discharge their fi****ms in the direction of the men. The men died at the scene.

An investigation was launched into the incident, supervised by Supt. Wayne Abbott of the Financial Investigations Branch.

The officers were charged with the offences on Tuesday 19th July, 2022, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Monday 18th July, 2022.

ARIMA DAD TO BE, SHOT DEAD IN SUSPECTED FAMILY LAND DISPUTE :
The dad to be, murdered on Sunday, confided in his brother some time ago, that a family dispute over land had him uneasy.

An Arima man who was expecting his first child within the next two months was killed yesterday morning in what relatives claimed was a result of a “family fight down.”

Luke Dalipsingh, 32 was shot once in the back of the head as he dealt with a customer at his wholesale business located at the corner of Cocorite Road and Quesnel Streets, Arima.

The murder took place just after 11 am yesterday.

Dalipsingh’s wife Tenisha who is seven months pregnant remained behind the counter of the business, Luke & Tenisha Wholesale Company Ltd.

Standing in the rain as he looked at Dalipsingh’s body lying on the pavement, his brother Randy who lives next door shook his head sadly.

Indicating he was in shock, Randy said Luke’s business was shot up several weeks ago but no one was injured.

Revealing Luke confided in him some time ago that a family dispute over land had him uneasy - Randy said, “I don’t know what will happen now.”

Luke belonged to a family of six siblings.

Unable to say what would become of Tenisha and the baby now, Randy said he was certain they would be cared for.

I can't believe this....

DJ KILLED AT PARTY FOR NOT PLAYING "GAZA" AND "GUNMAN" SONGS

A Biche man, who demanded that “Gaza and Gunman” music be played by a DJ at D’ Junction bar in Manzanilla on Saturday 9th July, 2022, ended up stabbing the owner of the sound system several times about the body with the victim succumbing to his injuries at hospital on Wednesday 13th July, 2022.
44-year-old Rishi Masty of Cassim Trace, Cunaripo, Sangre Grande, died at the Sangre Grande District Hospital, the same facility where worked as an ambulance driver.
He was stabbed three times in the back, neck and face by a suspect identified as 30-year-old Jameel Ottley of Cushe Trace, Cushe Village, Biche, just after 9pm on Saturday.
The incident stemmed from an argument Rishi had with the suspect who wanted the DJ at the bar to constantly play “Gaza and Gunman” music. The suspect continuously pursued Rishi but was pulled away by a security guard and other persons at the bar. He then went to a nearby car where he got a knife then followed rishi next to a car and stabbed him about the body. The stabbing took place outside the bar at the corner of Plum Mitan road and the Eastern Main Road in Manzanilla.
Rishi was taken to the Sangre Grande District Hospital where he was treated and warded in an unconscious state until he passed away around 2am today.
The suspect was held at the scene by WPC Kalipersad and PC Mohammed who were on mobile patrol and had responded to a report about a stabbing outside the bar. The murder weapon recovered.

WOODLAND GANG TERRORIZING SOUTH TRINIDAD

The woodland gang with most of its members from the woodland and san francique area are terrorizing many locals in those locations and beyond.

This gang which has no defacto leader is made up of mostly young indo-trinidadian men. The gang is mostly under the control and influence by the mohammed family from woodland.

The gang is involved in armed robberies, drug trafficking and extortion. While the police have yet to pin them to any murders they have been fingered for several sexual assaults and kidnapping of women.

They are mostly involved in squables with other residents and family members over land and money. They are known for bullying residents and have been labelled as "pest" by residents.

One occasion have seen two members of the mohammed family arrested for gun and ammo, another time for a quadruple chopping incident.

MONKEYPOX PATIENT JUMPS THROUGH HOSPITAL WINDOW, AND IS ON THE RUN:
Monkeypox patient flees May Pen Hospital after jumping through window in Jamaica.

The man who has been confirmed with the contagious monkeypox virus has fled the May Pen Hospital in Clarendon.

Police and health authorities do not know his whereabouts.

The man was under isolation.

Health and Wellness Minister Dr Christopher Tufton says the man jumped through a bathroom window on Saturday and left in a car that was waiting for him.

The police visited his home but he was not found.
