Craft Beer with a Proud History
Lion Brewery Co produces exceptional craft beer for South East Asia.
Created especially for the warmer climates, Lion Brewery Co produce sessionable beer that is bursting with flavour - bridging the gap between often overpowering strong craft beer and watered down commercial beers. Our beers are made from all natural ingredients with absolutely no preservatives or additives.
The name Lion Brewery Co is steeped in history. The brewery was built in 1836 on the banks of the River Thames. From there, beer, which was heavily hopped to preserve it (later to become known an India Pale Ale (IPA) was shipped out of London in vast quantities. As a leading brewery of its time Lion Brewery Co shipped its nectar to ports all over the world.
Standing proud outside the brewery were two distinct stone Lions. After a fire the brewery was demolished in 1949 (and replaced with what is now the Royal Festival Hall) Britain’s then King, George VI, demanded that the iconic Lions, so loved by the people, be preserved forever. So the Lion Brewery Co’s lions still exist today - one on the banks of the River Thames, adjacent to The Houses of Parliament, and the other (now gold) at the gates of Twickenham Stadium, the home of English Rugby.
