We are so excited to present our next bottling of a gorgeous 1964 Borderies cognac from Grosperrin (Lot 986), done in collaboration with and The Auld Alliance bar, featuring label art by renowned Singapore-based artist Tay Bak Chiang (https://taybakchiang.sg/). The concentrated fruit with marvelous complexity is a testament of what time (a whopping 58 years!) and cask strength bottling (Abv 53.6%) can create from top quality grapes and good barrels. Only 58 bottles exist in the world, and we can't wait to share them with you 😍

Introducing KennyMick, the latest member of M&E Drinks! It's rumored that "KM", as he prefers to be called, bears a passing resemblance to one of the other members of the team, but KM is a lot more vain and, well, plasticky (which may explain why he loves high-ester rums). And not just rums, Scotch, Japanese whiskies, Irish whiskies... he loves them all. And he loves talking about them. Watch out for what KM has to say about some of our upcoming products! Depending on how drunk he is, his opinions may be insightful gems or complete hogwash. You decide!

Label: I've been counting down the minutes till I get to meet you, and now that you're standing before me, I lean forward, gazing, wanting to plunge into the limpid pool of your soul...

Drink: a young vibrant 11 year old from Teaninich distillery, finished in the sherry quarter cask which held the first Love bottling (Royal Brackla). As always, caskstrength, no colouring, preservatives, or chill-filtration. Honey-dipped raisins, poached pears, vanilla cream topped stewed apple on the nose, a rather boozy and punchy palate (like how young love does to you), medium long finish with peppers, oolong tea and soft oak.

Here it is! We are so proud to present Singapore's first twin private casks:

-2019-512 "Chinese Druggist Association" made from the legendary ex-Karuizawa still, bottled at cask-strength 60.7%, only 39 bottles.

-2019-513 "Hai Chew Huay Kuan" from their unique wood-fired pot still, bottled at cask-strength 60.2%, only 46 bottles.

Featuring back label artwork by my friend and former colleague whose "Weekly Shopfront Challenge" exploring Singapore's beautiful colonial era shophouses has been my favourite art series for awhile.

Only limited sets available for sale in Singapore, presented in bespoke cloth bags with both printed labels, and available for tasting soon at and a few other select bars 😍

Our next sneak peek 😉
In collaboration with our buddy and longtime supporter , Mandedrinks is proud to present our (and Singapore's) first private casks of :
WS still ex-bourbon octave, 60.2%, 46 bottles
KS still ex-bourbon octave, 60.7%, 39 bottles

Our first impression in the glass is very positive. The fast maturation afforded by the smaller casks gives both bottles a complexity beyond their years, and we're so happy with the well-integrated sweet oak, an element which is usually a challenge to get just right with small casks 🤩 Already we can discern the distinctive profile of each bottling, and it will undoubtedly be fun to compare them side-to-side.

And if you think this is cool, wait till you see the beautiful back labels we have for the finished product!

In keeping with our philosophy, we bottled these, as always, cask strength. Sadly, this means a tiny outturn, and we are predicting that demand will outstrip supply. A few will be sent to select bars, and a small number of sets will be offered for sale and delivery in Singapore only.

P/s: this is just a sneak peek, so we will not be taking any orders or reservations at this stage. Please give us some time to sort out the allocation together with release of further details 🙏

Hot on the heels of our inaugural Tokong Rum bottling (a splendid 16yo Long Pond), we are thrilled to present a 1997 Port Mourant, aged over 24 years on the Continent to give an intoxicating bouquet of honeyed apricots, preserved nutmegs, vanilla and clove, with undertones of paint flakes and dried mushrooms carrying over to the palate, where we also get well-integrated oak and dollops of spiced fruit, ending with a surprisingly tight, medium-length finish.
Another great bottling selected for us by with Singapore-based Arcaydia Studios providing label art expressing the sharply defined flavor profile we love so much. Only 60 bottles of this gem available!! Get it before it's gone 🙌😍

We are pleased to present our second rum bottling, and the first Jamaican, a 16 year old Long Pond bottled for us by Valinch & Mallet 🥰 Medium ester (probably a VRW marque), featuring wonderful label art by

Tasting Notes:
Nose - unmistakably a medium ester Long Pond. Everything is in balance. Notes of acetone and chemical funk are in delicate interplay with juicy and slightly fermented fruits (bananas, pineapples, oranges and a hint of ginger).

Mouth: The oak starts to make an appearance but in a very pleasant way, with hardly any bitterness. The fruity palate is a continuation of the nose with some evolution in the direction of less ripe fruit (strawberries, pomelos). A PX-like sweetness emerges in the background along with a little yeast.

Finish: Some chewy, nutty chocolate. The warmth of the spirit lingers on the tongue ending with a touch of cinnamon and the typical sour note that Long Pond is famous for.
