Since 1995, the year when La Garita Cigar Company, Inc. (today legally known as Tabacalera Falto, Inc.) was founded, for Luis J. Falto, President, CEO and Master Blender of the company, the creation of unique cigar blends has been a labor of love - it is the concept of Falto Ci**rs.
The blends are unique because he creates them with a specific size or cigar vitola in mind. This has been Falto’s concept, because he believes that a certain vitola best complements and develop the different to***co flavors that make up the blend of the cigar. Contrary to the big, mass-market cigar companies, who manufacture their blends in various sizes, Tabacalera Falto, Inc. presents its blends in only one size.
This method and perspective has taken Falto to create a collection of twenty two (22) ci**rs, all different, repeating vitolas in only three (3) occasions. It is important to point out that the latter, still have their own distinctive blends. Of all the cigar collection, only one hundred (100) boxes are manufactured annually, whether they include twenty six (26), twenty five (25), twenty (20), ten (10) and/or five (5) ci**rs per box.
Tabacalera Falto, Inc. also manufactures a number of cigar “mazos” or “bundles” (twenty five (25) per bundle), with blends that did not made the final blend, but remain premium ci**rs and part of the Falto Ci**rs portfolio. These ci**rs, three (3) at the moment, are offered to clients in Puerto Rico and to selected clients in the United States.
Moreover, with the desire to continue creating unique and different ci**rs, is the search for that to***co, that may not be widely used in the industry, but are noble leaves with special flavors and textures. That they are not used should not disqualify them as bad to***co, to the contrary, they are exquisite. When combined in a blend a spectacular cigar can be achieved.

Now, with more that 25 years of experience in the to***co and cigar industries, Luis J. Falto, continues to create ci**rs of the highest quality, never by-passing the small details of the manufacturing and the art of blending ci**rs.
All Falto Ci**rs are totally handmade using Grade A long filler to***co leaves with no less that six (6) years of aging. All ci**rs are manufactured in the oldest factory in the Dominican Republic, La Aurora, S.A., established in 1903.
In 2008, he opened the La Garita Cigar Co. & Ci****os Falto ESTUDIO DE TABACO (#40 Luis Mojica Valentín Street, Suite 101, Mayagüez PR 00680) where his offices, aging room and lounge areas are located.
