ALCC is a CDA-registered all-women cooperative and is looking for a Store Manager who will handle the operations of the Convenience Store and a pre-loved boutique, Lakambini Closet. ALCC is a gender-friendly business and an equal opportunity employer which welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds. Applicants need not be military spouses.

ALCC held its 1st Board meeting with members of the Committees on June 17, 2024 at the PAOLCI Activity Center. Members of the committees were introduced. This was immediately followed by an oath-taking activity which was facilitated by BOD Chairperson, Monina Burgos. The Committees on Education & Training, GAD, and Elections reported their updates, the Ethics Committee discussed updates on policies, and the Audit Committee presented their timeline and priorities for the year.

Aside from improvements in policies and business operations, new activities and training which can improve ALCC’s services were also discussed during the meeting.

On June 12, 2024, BOD Chairperson Monina Burgos and Board Member Snooky Abaya attended the Cooperative Union of Taguig and Pateros (COUNTPA) 23rd Annual General Assembly and Election of Officers (AGAMEO) at New Taguig City Hall Convention Center, Taguig City. As COUNTPA recognizes ALCC’s membership and in adherence to Cooperative Principle “Cooperation among Cooperatives”, a plague of recognition was presented to ALCC as part of the program.

Prior to AGAMEO, BOD Chair Burgos and BOD Abaya represented ALCC in the CDA Forum and Orientation on the CDA’s Omnibus Rules of Procedures in the conduct of dialogues and disputes. Representatives from CDA briefed the body on the legal basis (section 4 of RA 11364 and Article 137 of RA 9520), the nature of the dialogues, and coverage of these CDA guidelines.

The ALCC Audit Committee held its transition meeting on April 1, 2024 at the ALCC Convenience Store. The turnover was facilitated by 2023 Audit Committee Chair, Melani Tagle, while the 2024 Audit Committee was welcomed by BOD Chairperson, Monina Burgos. The 2024 Audit Committee is led by Vida Resuello as Committee Chair, together with Hidelyn Carandang as Committee Vice Chair, and Suzette Ebarita as Committee Secretary.

The ALCC Election Committee are inviting all eligible members to serve the organization as one of its officers. Interested candidates may message us here so that we can send a copy of the Certificate of Candidacy (CoC). There are NINE (9) vacancies now open now for candidates. The CoC will also be shared and uploaded in the ALCC Private Group and Messenger Group, and will be made available at the ALCC Convenient Store.
