We had a fantastic time at this Sunday and Monday. A big thank you to the organizers for creating such a well-curated and welcoming event, it was a pleasure to be part of it.

We were joined by , who presented his latest vintages to a curious and enthusiastic crowd. It’s always a treat to taste his wines and share his work with others.

It’s encouraging to see more attention and appreciation for wines from Central and Eastern Europe , a region full of character, diversity, and exciting producers. ❤️

Thanks to everyone who stopped by , we truly enjoyed the conversations, the energy, and of course, the wines.

A floral, zesty white from Hajós-Baja — Olaszrizling, Hárslevelű, Riesling & a splash of Cserszegi Fűszeres.
Fermented in barrel, amphora, and tank — each vessel adding its own nuance.
The result is a wine with a tea-like, creamy, and complex palate, balanced by good acidity.

From the volcanic soils of Somló, this silky, mineral, and juicy masterpiece is a true expression of the land. Meet Rabbit’s Foot, a playful blend of 70% Zweigelt & Cabernet Franc (2021), aged in barrique barrels for 12 months, and 30% Pinot Gris (2022), matured in Tokaji Gönci —typically reserved for Szamorodni—for 4 months, adding a unique twist to the profile. This unique pairing delivers vibrant red berries, ripe cherries, and a touch of spice.

The label itself is a piece of history and heart. It was drawn in 1964 by Áron’s father, one of Pap Wines’ winemakers. Every label in their lineup is adorned with his father’s vintage sketches, making each bottle a true blend of art and wine. A delicious volcanic red with a story—don’t miss it! 🥂

We’re kicking off 2025 with some amazing wines from Olivér Weingartner, a talented winemaker from Hungary’s volcanic Somló region. Olivér tends to 4 hectares of vineyards on Somló Hill, where the unique volcanic soil gives his wines a distinct mineral and salty edge that perfectly captures the essence of this special terroir.

Expect vibrant, fresh flavors with his Hárslevelű, bold minerality in his Juhfark, and a volcanic twist in his Furmint. Plus, there’s a super juicy Pet-Nat made from Juhfark and a fruity red blend that’s pure deliciousness. 😍

💥 Exciting New Arrival! 🍇

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of a spectacular new wine from the renowned family of Hajós-Baja – introducing Jónás!

This exceptional blend is crafted with precision and passion, combining 40% Olaszrizling, 25% Hárslevelű, 25% Riesling, and 10% Cserszegi Fűszeres, from the vineyards of Herreberg and Érsekhalma, where the unique soil composition of limestone, loess, sand, and clay adds remarkable depth and character.

The Sziegl family’s meticulous winemaking process involved 7-8 different harvest days from various vineyards, ensuring a perfect balance of Ph, acidity, and ripeness. The early harvests were whole bunch pressed, while the later ones were trampled and soaked. About 60% of Jónás was fermented and aged in wooden barrels (500L), approximately 200 liters fermented in ceramic amphorae, and the rest in tanks. Before bottling, the wines were blended, unfiltered, unfined, and bottled with lees.

Jónás offers a tea-like, creamy, and complex palate with good acidity. It’s a reliable companion for any occasion, delivering a unique and delightful experience every time.

🍷🌋 Last month, we had the pleasure of visiting PAP wines to taste their new vintages, and we’re thrilled to share our experience with you! Áron and Karina, biodynamic natural winemakers from the volcanic Szent-György hegy, craft unique and vibrant selection of wines that perfectly capture the essence of this stunning region. The basalt-rich volcanic soil, generous slopes overlooking Lake Balaton, and preserved biodiversity impart a one-of-a-kind character to their vineyards.

Exciting news! New wines from PAP Wines will land in Amsterdam very soon. Here’s a sneak peek of what to expect:

🍊 Don’t Tell Mama ‘22: A rare 50-50 blend of Kéknyelű and Olaszrizling, 10 days on skins. It has an oily texture with notes of orange and lemon peel, rosemary, and tarragon.

🍊 Jumis ‘22: An exquisite orange wine made from Hárslevelű, bursting with white flowers, elderflower, spices, stunning minerality, and hints of honey and almonds.

🍷 Rabbit’s Foot ‘21: A unique red/white blend with 70% Cabernet Franc and Zweigelt and 30% Szürkebarát (Pinot Gris), which matured in used Szamorodni oak barrels. The result is a juicy red with red berries, cherries, and a faint spiciness on the finish.

We are super excited to bring these exceptional wines from Aron and Karina to our collection! Thank you, guys! 🌋🤗

🥂 Géza's expertise in long aging shines through in this masterpiece. Crafted from a harmonious blend of 5 grapes—Zengő, Zenit, Zalagyöngye, Cserszegi Fűszeres, and Muscat Ottonel —get ready for a floral symphony with notes of acacia, honeysuckle, dill, coriander, lime zest, salt and minerality. 🌼✨

Using innovative winemaking techniques, Puritán is bottled with the Pet-nat method and matured on lees in the bottle for an impressive 43 months. Upon second bottling, it's delicately decanted off the lees. No added sulphites, unfined, and unfiltered—truly a pure expression of Géza's artistry. ⚡
